| Hello there, Some time ago I found this method of writing down your goals (@ Mr Wang Says So), and I've been doing this for several days now. However, I'm kind of doubting about how effective this method is, and so we come to a part of intention-manifestation that I never really understood correctly. That is, when I write down the goals, I write them down easily and quite fast, and there's basically no interference of my conscious mind thinking "Hey, that's not realistic!" (my conscious mind only thinks about how to write the goal down, basically). And then I'm done. All my goals are on paper, and I continue my day. I've found that I'm just writing them down, there's almost no personal attachment to the goals. How important is attachment? I understand that you need to let go, but to what extent? With this method, I'm afraid that I'm letting go too much, if you understand what I mean. I'm just wondering if it will still work this way |

| Something I did, which I'm going to get back into, is to write the goal very clearly in a "scenario" like I was describing a scene from a movie. Where I am, how it feels, who else is there, the type of vibes it's sending me, etc. I made it very detailed, a healthy paragraph. I did this for a few of my intentions, on a big piece of paper. The next day, I would re-write it, copying it word for word... the whole thing took about twenty minutes. By doing that I was INTERACTING with my goal, and everytime I re-wrote it word for word, it felt more real. In addition to that, it helped clarify how the goal FELT, and I may at this point slightly re-word the intention because by now this process had made me even more clear on how I want this "movie scene" to play out. It was a great experience. The only reason I stopped was I was noticing that if I had the tv on in the background, I would hear, almost word for word in some cases, people on the tv saying the things I had just written down. So I thought I was going crazy. Doesn't bother me as much now, so I'll give it another go. |

| Hahah, I can see how that last part was freaking you out Very interesting method you have there! I might try it. Every time when I get to relax a bit, I tend to fantasize about scenarios, but I never actually wrote them down. I'll definitely try it out! |

| JMononoetoe I was asking my self the very same question yesterday but I noticed the more specific I got the more feeling I had. I also like your "scenario" method Cylon because I used to that with self hypnosis. It worked for me so I will just go back to it right this minute. It sound like you had some cool and funky synchronicities. I get them too and thought I was loosing the plot. ...so I know how you feel on that one. But getting back to the point the "feeling" is more important in my view as it give it that turbo charge! The missing piece for manifesting is that we need to feel the feeling as if we already have what we want first, then the manifestation will follow later. The missing step is that you haven't been feeling excited AS IF you already have it in your life. This new energy will change the outcome. Unfortunately, many people do use this exercise and feel excited as if they already have what they want, but they quit after a few minutes and decide the Universe isn't fast enough! They give up and say "this doesn't work" instead of giving it enough time. Acting "as if" DOES work, as long as you use it. Add the feelings and energy of "I already have it and love it" and watch your desires come through the door. And what better tool for raising your vibration from impatience to satisfaction than EFT? 1. EFT SETUP PHRASES: The EFT SETUP Phrases for this topic are as follows: While tapping the karate chop spot on either hand, repeat these phrases out loud, (or change the words to fit your exact situation). "Even though I don't have what I want yet, I choose to focus on the abundance in my life." "Even though I'm disappointed that I don't have what I want, I choose to feel calm and confident anyway." "Even though I'm impatiently waiting, I choose to feel optimistic and expect a positive outcome." I have indicated where to tap while saying each of the phrases below. You may repeat the positive round more than once if you wish. (Those of you who are new to EFT may view a chart of the spots on my web site under the EFT pages.) ***Now for the phrases that focus on the problem*** Eyebrow: "I'm frustrated that I don't have what I've been asking for." Side of Eye: "It's challenging to focus on what feels good." Under Eye: "I feel impatient about the lack in my life." Nose: "I don't have it yet and I'm frustrated." Chin: "I don't feel good about this at all." Collarbone: "I feel irritated and impatient." Under Arm: "I thought I've been doing everything right." Under Eye: "I wonder if I could imagine the feelings..." Nose: "I want to feel good about what I'm asking for." Chin: "I want to feel better, so maybe I could act as if..." Collarbone: "I'm willing to try to feel more optimistic." Under Arm: "I'm ready to feel the change in my energy right now." Head: "I choose to feel thrilled with the outcome, even though it hasn't arrived yet!" Then tap on the following phrases as you complete one more round: Eyebrow: I love knowing we all deserve abundance... Side of Eye: I choose to tune into the guidance I am receiving... Under Eye: I appreciate the prosperity in my life... Nose: I love appreciating myself, my friends, my opportunities... Chin: I'm grateful for all the new channels for abundance... Collarbone: I appreciate exactly who I am... Under Arm: I appreciate all the lessons I have learned... Head: I am so grateful for all the prosperity in my life. .......... | Why are you apologizing? I'll try that method as well! I've had success with EFT in combination with IM before (got me a ticket for a sold-out event within 24 hours), so... Why did I forget about it? |

| Really? I had a bad time after the EFT...I'm still awake and it's 5.25 am I'm been freaking out, Paranoia city...worrying over poo. ...well the ex bf. The feeling was not good at all but I know sometings this can happen. I think it means that a shift is moving. | OMG! That is awesome. I've found your method of writing down goals to be VERY helpful. I just started it a few days ago. I have already made a major breakthrough in deciding what I want to pursue as a career (this has been a huge goal of mind - I'm so excited to finally have a definite path to pursue). Plus it's just a fun exercise - it really clicked with me for some reason. I do it before I go to bed and upon waking. I have noticed I am in a much more positive frame of mind! |

Kidding aside, I think this is pretty common. There's another thread somewhere on this board - damned if I can find it now - which is almost a mirror-image of what you've written here. Someone else felt that since they started PD (don't recall if EFT was involved or not) they actually felt more distressed and more angst-ridden. The general consensus, however, was that basically you're getting rid of old negative stuff - poo, perhaps - to make way for the good stuff. But we tend to want to hang on to the negative poo because, even though we know it isn't serving us, we're somehow used to it. An odd conundrum, I know, but I think if you just continue to ride this wave, all will be made clear and improve sooner than you think. 'scuse me whilst I mind my own poo...
