My thoughts: "I have a million dollars" "I have a million dollars" "I have a million dollars" "I have a million dollars" "I have a million dollars" "I have a million dollars" "I have a million dollars" "I don't have a million dollars" Universe: "Gotcha, you just cancelled out all the "I have a million dollars" with that one thought so now I don't have to give you the dough. Ha Ha Ha Ha!!! You humans aren't even a slight challange. I WIN AGAIN!!!!" My thoughts: "Damn" "I have a million dollars" "I have a million dollars" "I have a million dollars" ....... |

Instead of "I have a million dollars" which you may or may not believe (since it isn't true yet) you may want to change that to: "A million dollars is coming to me now" That at least is possible and believable and technically true. or "I am ready to receive my million dollars" |

Example of a highly limiting belief: Quote:
... And whether that is true or not, depends on what you believe.

It must know I want the million but is going to make me jump through all the hoops in just the right way, follow all the rules in just the right way, think all the thoughts in just the right way and give no slack for any errors in execution. You have to perform the spell perfectly or it won't work! Last edited by Wabi-sabi; 11-26-2007 at 11:50 PM.

"It must know I want the million but is going to make me jump through all the hoops in just the right way, follow all the rules in just the right way, think all the thoughts in just the right way and give no slack for any errors in execution." <--- Limiting Belief. "You have to perform the spell perfectly or it won't work!"<--- Limiting Belief If you think to yourself "Well then what am I doing wrong?", that's a limiting belief too because it implies you are doing something wrong and the thing you are doing wrong is actually asking that question. Try instead to ask for your desire such as "A million dollars is coming to me now." as Erin said, and anytime you have a thought "Hmmmm...is this working? am I doing something wrong?" Just ignore it. Just keep trusting and having faith that "A million dollars is coming to me now." At first you may not believe it. THen it will start to feel acceptable. THen you might get comfortable with it. THen one day you will get to a place where you totally believe it, and sure enough, it will be there.

A lifetime of programming seems to take a little work.

Let's take an example of "Rich people are evil." as a false belief that a lot of people are programmed with which keeps them away from financial abundance. You can do meditations and all that, but let me offer a few examples of it showing up all the time. Here's just a few: 1) A week ago or so I was watching TV and "The Great Outdoors" came on. It's an old comedy with Dan Aykroyd and John Candy. It's a funny movie and it was fun watching it, but what was the programming in it? - First, Dan Aykroyd is the "evil rich guy" even though they don't say it. He drives a mercedes (I think, or maybe it was a BMW) and John Candy is the "good poor guy" who drives a beatup station wagon - Dan invites himself and his family on the vacation uninvited because that's what rich people do. They think they own the world so they just impose on the poor people right? - Dan's family is disfunctional, and his two daughters look like something out of poltergeist - John candy's family is your typical, middle-income family with their share of problems, but nothing compared to the problems the rich people have - Even though John invites him into the home and allows Dan and his family to stay, evil Dan keeps ruining everything John tries to do with his family. - Near the end of the movie, Dan sells John a scam investment opportunity and takes a check from him, because that's what people do --- they rip off poor people right? However, due the time they spent at the lake, Dan the rich guy finally grows a conscious and turns the car around to give John his check back and admits that him and his family have lost all their money in certain investment deals, because rich people's wealth is unsecure right? - The movie ends with Dan staying at John's house since he lost everything 2) Spiderman. Who's the hero? Peter Parker, the orphan from the poor family. Who's the villain? THe evil rich guy. 3) Titanic. Who's the hero? Jack, the poor guy who teaches Rose how poor people are good hearted and saves her away from her evil rich boyfriend, prior to giving up his life to keep Rose alive, while all the rich people sail away in their boats. 4) Superman. Who's the hero? The orphan from another planet that's been saved by a poor family of farmers. Who's the villain? Lex Luthor, the evil rich guy. Do I need to go on? One of the things that can help with learning to overcome limiting beliefs is to eliminate the re-introduction of them at a subconscious level. Become aware whenever you see a story, movie, commercial, advertisement, joke etc. that portrays wealthy people as evil, heartless bastards, and portrays middle income or poor people as the hero. If you're out for lunch with your friends and someone sees a brand new Porsche and they say "look at that rich bastard", that's conditioning. Be aware of it. Just something to think about.

Hold on, I'm going to try this now... LOL. That was funny. I got a blank stare and no response, followed by a pause and then "No...I haven't seen that movie..." Hehehe...then I asked "What about the one about the evil rich guy, and the poor hero?" to which I got an almost immediate response of "Robin Hood?" and then we also said "Spiderman?" "Superman?" "James Bond?" etc. We should make a movie where the hero is super rich. We can sell it for $100/copy to all the multi-millionaires in the world. I think they'd like it. LOL.
