Spiritual Meaning of Numbers?

In the past few weeks i have been finding a lot of 5 cent coins...they always seem to be 5 cents (i live in Australia)...i looked up the meaning of the number 5 and came up with the following extract: "The spiritual meaning of number Five deals with travel, adventure, and motion. With the high's that come with these attributes, Five's also carry instability and unpredictability, and radical changes with them. The spiritual meaning of Five's draw our attention to the wonder of life, and beckon us to appreciate the perception of chaos all around us"

Just wondering if anyone else has had similar experience and what the outcome was? or perhaps a clarification on its meaning. I am certain that the universe is drawing my attention to something...

Are you so sure... Perhaps you noticed the 5 cent coin one day and your attention has been on it ever sense... Then you noticed it again, reinforcing your attention, and there it is again, more reinforcement... Is it possible it's you that's creating this situation (possibly without even knowing it)

The number 9 follows me around everywhere. It is the number my birthdate reduces to, as well as my full name on my birth certificate, as well as a whole shwackload of other events in my life having the number 9 in it.

And no, I didn't know about this number when I created my alias on here as "Impaul99".

I believe in a lot of weird stuff ... and I am open to the possibility of other weird stuff possibly being true .... but the number stuff doesn't really work for me.

When I first read about "angel numbers", I learned that recurring numbers like `1111'; '222'; `333'; `444'; `555' etc are supposed to have special significance. Then I was pretty thrilled when at work, I found myself noting times like 11:11 am, 2:22 pm, 3:33 pm on my clock, just at the right time.

Nowadays however, I notice that I am noticing these times very frequently; I believe that it could just be that I am subconsciously getting myself to check the clock whenever the clock approaches one of these times. And not that there is any special significance in these numbers.

I tend to find a lot of 1p coins here in England. I looked it up and it says that 1 is significant because it's the denomination people can't be bothered to pick up if they drop it :P

Just kidding, there's all kinds of unexplained stuff so I wouldn't rule out anything. Kinda reminds me of the whole 'numbers' thing in Lost...

Usually within 3 days after finding or getting in change a foreign coin I receive an unexpected lump of cash, has been anywhere from 250 -3000$. It's actually an old omen I read about in a book and I started expecting money after finding the foreign currency or coins. I think numbers , signs and omens do have meanings that were assigned to them and reinforced over time but you can 'create' your own signs, just make a decision that x means y and you will be surprised at the response you get. The 23 thing is another one that I believe has become so prevalent because of the attention given to it, not because it means anything. I actually had a dream the other night where I put on a black football helmet with the #23 on it, OOOooo, AAaahh

I haven't quite decided if I place any significance on numbers or not. I play around with numerology some because it's fun. But I can tell you this about numbers. Every time I look at the clock it is either 22, 33, or 44 after the hour. Ok, maybe not EVERY time but significantly more frequently than any other time it could be. Could be sub-conscious like ALG said. Could be a secret coded message from my guides. Who knows. If it's a message I haven't determined the significance.

yes its interesting in so far as when one notices a regular occurrence or a pattern in their life, i think it is then put to question, ie what does this all mean? It is more about being 'aware' and expecting that something may come back to you from the universe.

I have always been and will remain a curious person with a childlike view of the world. At present i am comfortable with the notion that the number '5' represents adventure & motion. I think that the universe has chosen to represent this to me via coins instead of a clock or car number plate etc

The number 11:11 is good, it means make a wish or something thats meant to be. The number 222 is bad. Everytime I start seeing 222 everywhere something bad happens. I wish I knew how to make it go away!

I thought 222 had something to do with reassurance, coming from guides and angles. And I personally don't think its bad, although even for me it occurs when things are going bad. I feel good when I see it because I know that's a way of my higher self/spirit guides telling me to hold on because everything is going just the way it should, for everyone involved.(I think this is what Doreen Virtue says about '222')

Your posts were quite helpful..I had to look this up b/c I keep finding nickels a few everyday, it started a couple weeks ago. I am trying to sell my house & move, so maybe it means "Change" as well as it will all work out, b/c everytime I find one it's like a sign/feeling that God is with me & working it all out. Wish I could find more info on it.

Personally, I think of that like mythology.

I tend to think of the Fibonacci sequence as the most spiritual of numbers. In that, it reflects a property of the universe that spontaneously occurs in nature, and is intuitively beautiful (so much that it also shows up in art unintentionally).

Also, my avatar shows the fractal pattern of arteries in the human heart. The branching pattern is similar enough to trees to be visually striking.

Yeah...I follow her meanings of power numbers too, Doreen is right on the money! The 444 follows me everywhere! Also, for those in this thread wondering what the numbers have to do with anything, I've found that just before a number sighting I'll think of something and then the numbers will have to do with this situation. So power numbers, as they sometimes have been called, are mostly messagese from our spirit guides/angels, about what you were just thinking about.

Sometimes the 11:11 means DNA changes are taking place, besides the other meanings attributed to it. Ifind this very true with me.

Also, when we get into a "rut" or something like that and have tons of negative thoughts, we might see a number sequence, just to remind us to be more positive and watch what we're thinking, since these days, with the intense energies coming onto earth, our thoughts are manifesting much, much quicker and if we're too negative, we get bombared with negativity... not to mention negative manifestations all over the place.
