| - The Cycles of joy. - My own perspective. ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ The Cycles of joy are activities that are repeated and grow as they repeat and bring joy and enlightenment to the present moment in their own right and help focus on the activity itself. Now they are not called Plans. They are called Cycles of Joy. The Cycles of Joy substitute the previously named “Project Plans” or “Future-Set-Me-Free-Plans” and they have major differences in their concept. The Cycles of Joy are not detailed Future Plans. They are life patterns that help remaining focus on tasks that are pleasant to follow at present. Pursuing detailed “Project Plans” supports the existence of Free Will which is a controversial idea. Unlike Detailed Plans that project the focus of the mind to the future and look like cold desperate chores that aim to manipulate the present reality, the Cycles of Joy are small enjoyable patterns that are focused on direct gratification from the conscious awareness at the present moment, so they can joyfully repeated regardless of the final outcome. These Cycles of Joy share a growth velocity which is defined by the broader goals and purpose in life. So they can grow into profitable activities, wealth, health and love. It is like a women. You can not ask to date a woman out of desperation. When you attach your emotion to the final outcome, you chase them all away! Before you have the woman fall into your spell, you need to detach your self from the outcome and show her that you can enjoy your present moment regardless of her, giving your love unconditionally. When you are emotionally attached to the target (=any object projected by the mind) you distort the ability to perform out of present awareness which is the only creator, and you chase the target right away. The target may be a woman or wealth in general. Building wealth is a similar thing. Wealth is like a woman. You make a grab at it out of desperation and it vanishes into thin air. Being in the loop of the moment is the only way. The Cycles of Joy, is the only way to go, even if you already have wealth accumulated and you simply want to invest it. |

For a moment there I thought you were referring to the, uh, natural cycles of a friend of mine named, appropriately, Joy... But I digress... While I think I understand the intent, doesn't the term "cycle" refer to something that waxes and wanes? That is, for every moment of joy or achievement, there's a corresponding moment of darkness and failure? Or do you mean something else? |

There's another way to look at cycles, other than a waxing and waning. There's also: the rolling pattern in nature that represents momentum. When you keep the wheels spinning, that keeps the wheels spinning. I think Alex has a nice way of joy as cyclical in that way. Like riding your motorcycle, cdn. It's not so much the ups and downs that give you joy, right? What is it? Movement? Speed? Whatever, it has you feeling really overflowingly vital, right? I like that kind of cycle. Like when you choose to work out: you've gone along for some time laying around thinking about exercise, but are stopped because it seems like such a huge thing to get your butt up off the couch. Going to the gym seems like an enormous obstacle in the way of being fit. Somehow you get yourself engaged with exercise, though, and after 5 or 10 minutes of fast walking or jogging, the endorphins start to flow and you wonder why you procrastinated -- this feels kinda good! and it's not so hard the next day to work out because you're on a roll. I think I've just invented a new sandwich: Joy on a Roll. |

True for some women. My Slamhot Boy gave his love freely. On our first "real" date and the second time we met, he was super tender and had me totally captivated, and says he knew I'd give my love to him in retrospect, because he loved me before he met me. Yes, I totally buy it because I love him. Depends from relationship to relationship. Quote:

| Right. It's another way of looking at emotional or mental inertia, which I don't think works quite the same as the physical law of intertia. A heart at rest won't usually remain at rest until acted upon by an equal or greater outside force. Once a heart as been at rest for awhile, it tends to go looking for ways to rev up its engine and get the wheels of love and joy rolling.
