| You can't exist outside of the present moment, so it makes sense to only have thoughts that build that moment. That's why we focus on what we want now. But the pesky past will always try to infect your moment especially if you have a decent sized goal where you failed before or notice continually that in the past you didn't get what you want. Here's a trick to make the past more user friendly It didn't happen the way you remember it. When you think of the past, any past event you are actually creating it in the moment, you'll bringing the past experience into the moment and making the moment the same as the past. So if there is a big goal or a challening goal, you can focus and intend all you like, but you thoughts will check the past to see if there is a conflicting past event and if there is, BAM you'll create the present as per the past. To give your creative power a turbo charge consider that because the past has happened and you only remember it through active thought, then change the way it happened. So not only do you focus on having your goal achieved today right now, but also imagine the goal exsited already ahcieved yesterday and everyday back as you desire to remember. This will help you current focus on the moment eliminate any past thought that may undermine your current thinking. Don't worry about changing the past, you can't break the universe or disappear, the past truly only ever is a memory and memories are thought and thought is creative. This will empower your present thoughts and amplify the intention/choice. Time itself is a trickster always making us regreat a past event, fearing the repeat of that event in the future and then building the moment with all those past/future thoughts. So change the past creatively to make it suit your present moment intention. Not only have you already achieved your goal, but you can remember (think) that you also had the goal acheived yesterday. When you think of you goal achieved right now, think back to yesterday and say "oh yeah, that's right, I already had________back yet" You can play with the words if you like to affirm your goals or just visualise the past in the way that reflects a past achievement. You've got nothing to lose by changing the past, it's only thought anyway. Max Power......To You Last edited by Max Power : 11-03-2007 at 04:52 AM. |

| Just a thought... In essence, my major challenge, just now, is something I have done successfully several times in the past. Somewhere, along the way I've picked up some negative belief/vibe, lost my whatever... Have no recall. Sorry, for rambling... But, my thought is: when that pesky past rears itself why not focus on when in the past we have been successful with whatever it is we desire, NOW? |

Like, if you want to be going with a girl but you never have. Pretending that you have in the past will probably cause you to feel delussional or dishonset even. Not to mention others around you will think you are lossing it if you actually say to others about stuff you've done in the past that you haven't. Why not face the facts but in this case say to yourself - all those girls I went for and failed with were there to teach me this and that so that I can be better at building what I want in the future. It's reframing the feel of old events not the event it self. |
