LilChris's manifestation experiment got me thinking tonight. What if we formed a similar group of people on here who publish any sort of Positively Charged Blog and the group could attract traffic for it's members as well as help each other out to raise our traffic rankings etc. For example we could do something like this: (1) We reserve 10-30 spots for Bloggers who blog about any kind of positive topics like Law of Attraction, Making Money Online/Offline, Personal Development, Health & Wellness etc. (2) Each of us adds each member to our RSS readers so that we get all the blog posts from everyone automatically delivered to our readers. (3) Whenever we see an article that really resonates with us, we help the blogger out by Digging, Stumbling, Linking etc. (4) If wanted, we could participate in guest blogging on each-other's blogs if we write on similar topics. For example my niche is now helping people make money doing what they love, but I have been studying nutrition for years now so I could easily write a guest blog for someone's blog on nutrition related issues. I just don't want to write it on mine because I want to stick to my theme. (5) We use Law of Attraction to drive more traffic to our network of blogs, as well as attracting ideas. For example when I "charge" my mind positively and I get in a really good mood I can usually attract like 10 ideas on how my businesses can make more money (money is my specialty). When I'm in that "state of mind" I could re-focus my attention to some of the other blogs in our circle to offer ideas. It's like the saying that 2 minds are better than 1. Well this would be 30 minds are better than 1. (6) If you guys wanted to setup a private forum for discussing ideas, I could do that on my forum as well just for the group of 30. There could be ways we could help each other out with things. For example, a few weeks back I was trying to figure out how to record my telephone conversations with my coach/mentor. I had to do research and found a cool little Panasonic voice recorder and connector box that allows you to record from your telephone to the voice recorder and then dump to MP3. I know this isn't rocket science, but on several other forums I've been on I've seen people totally stumped how to go from Telephone to MP3. Just one example, but there can be many others. ie. LilChris brought to my attention I should have a favicon for my forum and he was nice enough to design one for me. It's something I meant to do, but totally forgot about it and probably would have never done if he didn't mention it. It's basically a network for 30 Law of Attraction Practitioners who are also Bloggers and who help each other. Anyone interested? |

I am up for online experiments. I wanted to get the emotional intelligence one going here. Knowing that people didn't engage with it now is part of my feedback. One thing that I do is put out an interest that is logged with a date. For example I have put my name with deepak chopra on a wellness video - in time when the video gets really popular it will show that I knew what the marketing driver was in advance of others. It's highly unlikely that L.O.A. will be tought at Universities Globally but emotional intelligence will. It's one part of the passion project that could be improved. |

| One of them will be about ordinary daily life stories. I love ordinary daily life stories I love small, unimposing daily life details, I find they have an incredible beauty and richness. Like an encounter with a stranger you talk with for five minutes before both go back to their own life. The neighbour's dogs, barking all day long. This old man who buys two bottles of milk at the same shop every friday afternoon. A fragile blade of gras growing between two bricks in the middle of the city you saw yesterday when you went to buy bread. A blocked sink and its consequences for the whole house... What the wife next door cooks for her husband when she's angry at him. My blog will be about such stuff, you know. Stories about late buses, dirty socks and human cohabitation The second one will be a scanner's blog. Every time I'm interested in something, I'll do some research and write an article about it. There will be articles about mathematics, about archeology, about the connection between science and old spiritual teachings, about energy work, about some interesting people, about ... just everything. Plain chaos. I cannot really imagine that someone wants to read such things. It doesn't matter, it's for me to have fun writing it. But it's nothing useful, important or productive like making money, or the Loa, or PD... |

| really? thanks No... I'm still lost in the blog jungle, and asking myself if I should go to blogger or wordpress, in which language(s) I should write, if it's possible to have more than one blog on my site, how I should call them... edit: I'll tell you when they're born Last edited by Rose of Cairo; 10-31-2007 at 12:42 AM. |

Sometimes our fears have a way of using $ as a stumbling block. Money and time that is. It took me a while to launch my blog because of these fears, and I was using the "time" excuse. I kept telling myself that I don't have time to launch a blog "right now" since I am so busy with work and all my other projects, but really it was just my insecurity of getting myself "out there". I had hidden fears of being criticised by my co-workers reading what I say, or even friends / parents etc. Shortly after I launched my blog, I had no idea my mom was reading it, she saw me at her house one day and asked me "When's your next post? I'm learning a lot." It's so weird how we fear really stupid things. Anyway, just a thought on something you could try.

Hi impaul99, I would like to join in. This seems to be falling in line with what I'm am wanting from the Universe. I have been reading your blog for the past month and have enjoyed it immensely. My blogs are http://inourownwords.blogspot.com and http://articlesofintent.blogspot.com. For Quotes...In Our Own Words, I talk about about inspirational quotes, poems, and short stories and how we can apply them to our lives. Most of the posts have an LoA overtone, but overall it's just a Feel Good blog. Article Of Intent is blog where I post articles by other authors on the subject of LoA. I will be submiting my own articles very soon. Maybe this experiment will give me some inspiration. Thanks again for the opportunity. |

Paul: yes, you're right. I'm making it much too complicated. I should just do it instead of thinking about details. I'm a bit scared and I feel particularly insecure about writing in english. My english isn't good enough to express myself freely and accurately. I'd rather write in german, french or spanish, but that wouldn't make much sense. edit: I have to improve my english anyway. I have a few good reasons for that |

If someone criticizes you because your English is not perfect and stop reading your blog because of it, they're probably not your ideal reader anyways. One thing you could do is write down a profile of your ideal reader and keep it in mind while writing your blog. You could put "UNDERSTANDING" as one of the values of your reader and then they will be understanding of the fact that English is not your primary language. My blog is all about making money doing what you love, and I am aware of the fact that there are many people who will think I am "greedy" or that it's wrong to make money or that "money is the root of all evil" but I don't let that worry me because they are not my target audience. I write my blog for those who want to learn to make money doing what they love. If a person doesn't match that description, my blog is not for them, and that's totally fine. Pat O'Bryan wrote about this in his book "Your Portable Empire". He often talks about how his writing is conversational and that it is NOT grammatically correct. He says that his English professor would completely be in shock if he read some of the things Pat has written, but Pat says that his English Professor doesn't make as much money as him and he can't make money from a laptop on vacation, so he'll stick to being wealthy and grammatically incorrect.

lol What I'm scared of is not criticism or what other might think, and it's not doing grammatical or spelling mistakes either (I'll make some, it doesn't matter). It's more that I won't feel free in english. In French I know the language exactly, I know on which language level a word is, I know its connotations and its history. In German I'm not that good but almost. In these languages I can just let my unconscious write, it's not me, it just happens. In english I have no clue about what I'm actually writing. I can express ideas, but I don't know anything about the words. Thus, I have to think a lot while writing and don't feel really free. It's like shooting around with a gun, with closed eyes. The problem is more than looking up every third word, it's that you don't think in english like you think in german, and I'm still thinking in german with english words. But, yes, you're right again. I have to learn it anyway. I'll put a warning on my blog and write in english. At the moment I'm watching a lot of movies in english to get a better sense of it Thanks for your words. I really appreciate them. These blogs mean a lot to me. Thanks for encouraging me Last edited by Rose of Cairo; 11-03-2007 at 02:06 AM. Reason: replaced a wrong word |

There are swear words in Polish that don't even come close to having an equivelant in English.

yeah, I know what you mean, so you understand me! To swear in french is also a delight! You can string together as many well-known and self-created invectives as you want. German is very precise. You need few words to describe a situation in all details. To compensate such a concision, all words have at least nine syllables But that's just my experience... maybe others wouldn't agree. I'm happy right now, on my way back from school I met a band of latino indians playing some very beautiful music on the street. I talked with one of them and was very happy to have an opportunity to speak spanish and even a few sentences of quechua But I'm totally off-topic, sorry. Just had to relate. |

Hey Paul! You just inspired me to start a blog! Not for money but for personal expression. The words "free" and "30 seconds" did the trick. And no, I have no desire to participate in this experiment! I decided to use a Wordpress account. The blog will be about a fairly current movie that I am obsessed with. Thanks for your words. -Peggy P.S. - Rose of Cairo, your English sounds (looks) better than that of many Americans! Almost too perfect... |

So If I were ya, I'd just go ahead and post in English and forget about mentioning that it's not your native language. In fact, I never had the idea that you felt that way about your English until this post. I look forward to seeing your blog!

But don't worry, I wrote it only on one of my two blogs and only in the "about me" page. Not at the top of every post So, will you join us, Seeker5? Your success stories Blog is positive and fits perfectly in our experiment! Doesn't it, impaul99? Peggy, you're going to write a complete blog about one movie?
