You wouldn't mean to say that, without your consciousness leading you to it, you have noticed that your subconscious is negative, do you? Rather, it would make more sense if you would think that the subconscious is negative because you consciously became aware of that, but then you can't prove that it was your subconscious and not your conscious that was negative to begin with, now can you? In my understanding, if you follow Brutha's advice you will realize that if your conscious isn't negative, there is no way to analyze if your subconscious is - I think if your conscious is positive then the unconscious will indeed follow. |

I don't think the subconscious will nessassarily follow positive conscious. It depends on the power behind the subconscious, as in the emotion such as fear. If the subconscious conjures up fear, the conscious will have a negative response, so which comes first? The negative thought or negative feeling? In my experience the sub has to come into awareness to change it. Quote:

The way I have done it is by sitting with the negative emotion that accompanies the negative subconscious. I completely focus on the feeling. It is the feeling itself that shows me the cause and then I can change it. |

I would say that hypnosis, NLP, Timeline and EFT are all ways of accessing and changing the subconscious. There are probably loads more ways, but they are ones that I have experienced with consistent results. A friend of mine uses a therapy called Soultalk which I'm really interested in studying. I would strongly advise working with someone who is experienced in this if it is a big issue for you. You can go routing around in there yourself but you need to know what you are looking for and what you will do when you find it. What I love about a change in the subconscious mind is when you automatically act differently. You don't have to think about it (conscious mind) you just act in a different way than before, then think "wow, I've have never said / done that before!" Sometimes it is so automatic the change that it takes someone else to notice it as it feels so natural to you. Marvellous |

| Creator, I am assuming you mean something in your subconscious (i.e. below your immediate level of awareness, which you feel you cannot control and which makes you feel bad). Whatever it is, it depends on how much energy with which you have imbued it. If it isn't a very strong belief system, you can use affirmations and positive thinking. Even physical activity, like playing a sport, may help overcome it, i.e. you approach it from 'above'. If it is rooted deeply within you, try meditation techniques, so that you can go into a deep state of consciousness and get 'below' it, and approach a solution from there. There are plenty of meditation/self-hypnosis aids on the market which may help. As previous posters said, you could also go into it and try to disassemble it, but you may need help from an experienced practitioner for this, otherwise, you may become overwhelmed. Whatever it is, you have created it yourself, perhaps over many years, attracting people and events to it, which confirm and support it. As an immediate suggestion, move your focus of attention from it and think thoughts which make you feel slightly better, then try to move up the emotional scale from there. Do not fight against the problem - just gently ease it over to the side and think of something that makes you feel more joyful and wholesome. Be aware of your thoughts, especially, when they start to take you down emotionally. |
