Manifesting a Glued Down Quarter

Dear Steve,


Yesterday I found a nickel, and it reminded me about the idea of
manifesting money, which I hadn't thought about for awhile. So I
zestily imagined finding hundred-dollar bills in the road,
remembering with a smile your story of Erin manifesting a dollar instead
of a penny. I also imagined not really minding if it didn't "work"
right away, thinking of your article about future reactions affecting
manifestation.

Anyway, this morning, while walking the children to school, I found a
quarter, which pleased me very much. Later in the walk, alone, I was
thinking about how fast an alpha response I had gotten, and began
visualizing again, and to my surprise, I immediately saw _another_
quarter!

I reached down only to find it was one of those glued down quarters,
placed by some sadistic joker. After looking around to see if someone
was laughing at me, I thought about how funny that was. It was almost
as though I manifested a disappointment for myself not to mind.
Fortunately, I was in a pretty good humour, and found it amusing.

Eventually, I thought about how the first few times I had a lucid dream,
I was intensely excited when I first realized I was dreaming, and then
woke right away. While that was disappointing, I took it as a sign that I
was learning, and was sure to stay lucid longer with practice. So maybe
what happened was that I excited myself out of the manifestation because
I am a novice.

Either way, it felt very powerful to me, and I owe you thanks for having
given me ideas and pointers in this way of interacting with the 'verse.
