Default Perception

Look around your immediate environment. You may see a chair, computer, floor, walls, window, birds, sky and there’s also you. Everything you sense with your senses is just a perception of formless energy. We could say that it is created, but that sounds like it didn’t exist before. So if we realize what we require is already here and we just have to perceive it properly, then creation isn’t required.

It’s just a difference in terminology, but it’s an important difference.

Creation sounds like work, like you have to work to create something, but perception is just changing the way you sense something. So thinking a certain way changes perception, you don’t have to create something from formless energy, you just have to perceive the energy differently.

Right now you're perceiving the energy as a chair, a room, a person (you) other people, cars, sky, whatever is in awareness. With your 5 senses it seems very dense and real, but you are just perceiving it as something that the 5 senses validate.

To have something new enter reality, you just perceive it. Pain, suffering, loneliness, lack, money, love, joy. Perception changes the available energy into something else, you don't create something from formless energy, you change the perception of the energy

Whoah, hold the phone a minute here...

"To have something new enter reality, you just perceive it," is a bit of a chicken-and-egg scenario, isn't it?

I can't perceive a Bengal tiger in my living room because there isn't one. But I can perceive my desk because it's right here in front of me. (Good thing, too, as a Bengal tiger can really do a number on the furniture, not to mention the mess in the litterbox.)

I think I understand what you mean about perception and reality, but there's a fundamental difference in perceiving reality and actually creating it. One really can't be sure what's "out there" in the world beyond our brain and what's "in here" in the middle of our skulls. But the only way that something "out there" can be perceived by the "in here" is if it actually exists.

nice kitty... nice kitty... please get off the couch, kitty...

Default creating self

I don't believe perception is connected to physical things at all. I don't percieve a chair to be a chair, it is a chair. I may percieve it to be an 'ugly' chair or a 'great' chair. Perception is connected to the adjective which is then a subjective reality. I believe the physical is physical and no perception can change that.
However, I do think that in changing one's perception on how one feels about money, loneliness suffering etc, can and does create changes in our life experiences. I believe we do create all our life experiences and this belief has changed my perception of many things, especially of self.
