I'll probably buy the book soon. I'm really looking forward to their next book, Money and the Law of Attraction: Amazon.com: Money, and the Law of Attraction: Learning to Attract Wealth, Health, and Happiness: Books: Esther Hicks,Jerry Hicks |

Their description of how we create a "vibrational escrow" is also helpful and vivid for me. The focus on emotions is dovetailing nicely with my current program of applying EFT to my beliefs. It's written in a flowing, enjoyable style, and the cover is purty. Comes with a CD, too, which I have not yet listened to. One could stick with Ask and It Is Given forever and not be missing out, but sometimes it's inspiring to hear the old stuff in a new way! | |

I have a DVD I watched from them and one of the most important things for me was this one point where she talks about this question of people who "try" LoA and ask "What am I doing wrong?" She (well, Abraham..you know what I mean) explains that people do everything right, they ask/visualize, etc. follow all the steps and then they do this: "WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?"... "What am I doing wrong?" "What am I doing wrong?" "What am I doing wrong?" "What am I doing wrong?" "What am I doing wrong?" "What am I doing wrong?" "What am I doing wrong?" "What am I doing wrong?" "What am I doing wrong?" "What am I doing wrong?" "What am I doing wrong?" "What am I doing wrong?" "What am I doing wrong?" "What am I doing wrong?" "What am I doing wrong?" "What am I doing wrong?" Then Abraham says..."THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE DOING WRONG!!!!" I loved that part... |

I downloaded an audio version of this book (have to buy it of coarse) and listened to the first mp3 so far. I like the idea that our physical self is a part of us that had two parts. The physical and the non-physical - the non-physical is much "bigger" than we normally think. There's also the idea of a mismatch that generates our desire and sets up our vibration that attracts the desire. In other words when you are looking at something in your life that isn't how you would ultimatly imagine it, that you are looking to make something better or more peaceful - there is a mismatch between what you can imagine and what currently is. That mismatch makes you imagine how it could be which makes the vibrations to bring you closer to where you are going. Does that makes sense to any of you that have read this new book? I guess I've listened to the first 3 chapters. |

Well, I picked up the book and read it this past weekend -- very inspiring! Thanks for recommending it, Velvet. I liked the upstream/downstream image, too. Danger Man and I talked a lot about that -- thinking thoughts that create a little bit of relief and "putting down our paddles." I loved the line, "Nothing you want is upstream." It tweaks my brain a little, I think because I'm used to waking up and immediately starting to paddle, paddle, paddle! I'm glad to have a partner in this -- reminding each other to think downstream thoughts -- because it makes it more fun for us both to flow in the direction of what we want. It was interesting to read what they had to say about The Secret and Think and Grow Rich, too. |

| Yes! That's been my mantra all week. Well, I changed it to "Everything you want is downstream..." And one pleasant way this has manifested is that there were several little instances over the weekend, where people were doing things that, in the past, may have irritated or angered me. In three different instances, I pulled back, took a breath, and thought, "Eh, I could get upset, and hash things out, and have that person explain his position, and then make up with them and feel good, or I could just slide downstream to the feeling good part now." And I did--and whatever those people were doing not only didn't bother me anymore, but turned out to ultimately be ok. I loves me some AbeHicks, lemme tell ya. |

Hi everyone, Thanks for bringing that book to my atanetion, took a week or so for the book to be delivered but I am half way through and listened to the CD attached (twice so far). It clarified so many things to me about LOA & Co. This is great!!!!! For these who think of reading it - do not get discouraged by the cover or title, this is deep, deep stuff!!! What they talk about builds onto their earlier work and takes it to another level. I am loving this more and more, can't wait to read their other books. |

I also highly recommend this book. The "upstream" , "downstream" analogy added a new dimention to my understanding of LoA. Launching rockets of desire is also great. I wished they offered One-on-One coaching. |
