I saw no spirituality in the movie. They used a lot of quantim theory, and machanics to explain the Law, and how it works. I personally love the dvd. I was ready. Really ready. I watched the first 10 minutes and all the lights flashed, all the bells rang, all the dots connected, all the i's dotted, and the t's crossed, and more. I have had no quesion to ask, concerning what's going on, since. I am happy, and grateful, and my life is getting better, and better everyday, in everyway. November will be a year, since I watched the secret dvd. I got it. I "GOT" all of it. "BINGO!!!" |

The difference is that in the past, I actually had to focus and work hard and push myself to attain my high achievements. Nowadays, I use LOA and I find that hard work, pushing myself etc is irrelevant. Things are much easier with LOA, because opportunities, resources and people just present themselves to me at the right time. In another recent post on this forum, I mentioned that seven years ago, i was leaving the office past 11 pm almost every night. Nowadays, I leave around 6:00 pm or 6:30 pm and my salary is 6.5 times what it was, seven years ago. That's just one simple example.

Now if you would like to have a more in-depth explanation of how LOA works, you can go through this reading list: 1. "The Intention Experiment" - Lynna McTaggart, for a more scientific perspective on how human intentions may affect reality. 2. Read up on the principle of synchronicities, as espoused by Carl Jung, one of the founding fathers of modern psychology 3. All four books by Esther & Jerry Hicks. 4. For in-depth explanations from the metaphysical perspectives, go for "The Seth Material" and other books by Jane Roberts 5. Pick up and reread your conventional self-improvement books again, but this time, pay more attention to the parts where they talk about, say, repeatedly writing down your goals etc, and see if you can see anything new 6. Shakti Gawain, on creative visualisation 7. Research the siddhis in Hinduism, especially the prakamya siddhi 8. Read about the Silva Mind Control Method. In the days that this first emerged, the "Law of Attraction" was an unknown phrase, but you can see that at least some parts of the Silva Mind Control Method would relate to LOA. 9. Check out scientific experiments on prayer. Or if you are religious, think about why you pray; what prayer is supposed to do, etc. 10. My own recent discovery - read Aleister Crowley, the famous occultist, and check out what he has to say about witchcraft and magick basically being extensions of will & intention 11. Quantum physics - see what consciousness has (or may have) to do with reality. Start from the collapse of the wavefunction, in wave/particle duality. 12. To me, Rosenthal's experiment is also interesting food for thought. Simply by you believing that your children or your pet rats are smart, they will become smart. Simply by you believing that they are stupid, they will become stupid. That, in an oversimplified nutshell, is the summary of this Harvard professor's research. 13. The reticular activating cortex is another interesting area to investigate. 14. Buddhism is a possibly fertile ground for investigation too (pay attention to the Buddhist teachings about the nature of reality). So are the various philosophies, fields etc listed over here.

| Basically what I described in my post (that you quoted). Spiritual would be the universe responding to your wish and giving it to you. Non-Spiritual would be you applying yourself and finding ways to achieve your goal.

"Non-locality" is a term used to describe physicist Niel Bohr's phenomenological interpretation of the collapse of the wavefunction. Basically it means that X does not have to be in the physical proximity of Y in order to exert some force or influence so as to alter some aspect. Normally the term is used to describe events occurring at the subatomic level. For example, it is well-accepted in quantum physics that if two subatomic particles have ever experienced quantum entanglement at any point in time, then a change in behaviour of one such particle will instantly affect the other, regardless of how far apart in the universe they are. For an example of a non-local phenomenon occurring not at the subatomic level, but at a macroscopic level, you may wish to refer to this double-blind experiment, reported in a peer-reviewed scientific journal, whereby the prayers of some 2,000 people in Tokyo affect the molecular structure of electromagnetically-shielded water samples in California. http://www.tasmedes.nl/Documents/Radin_Emoto.pdf This was a (successful) attempt to replicate, under more scccientifically-controlled conditions, the effects previously demonstrated by Masaru Emoto (who asserted that the thoughts you think about a water sample will cause crystals from the water samples to become beautiful or ugly, depending on whether you send positive or negative thoughts). It's ultra Amercian Cheese... I am so scentitific in my thought process... I reject most of NLP and "arty farty" thinking techniques... I watched the secret because my friend strongly recommended it to me... Since watching it, the things i have been focussing on have improved in my life... it may just be absolute conincidence, but it is quite strange at the dramatic turnaround in one or two areas I have been focussing on. Another thing i liked about it is the "attitude of gratitude" that it promotes... being thankful for what we have each day. Phil x |
