| That would depend on what the question is. If one is wondering which of the above is the best source of nutrition, I agree with the article, with fermented raw milk being best, followed by fresh raw milk. Water is a little low on most nutrients |

My vote is for almond milk... I know that wasn't on your original list, but I wanted to throw it in the mix. |

Human breast milk is probably the healthiest if you really need something from a mammal. But you'll have to ask for it rather than take it by force.

Water first then whichever you will actually drink. LOL I personally love Silk Enhances(now Plus I think) it has a nice taste just the plain is good to me. From someone who 3 1/2 years ago would have said that was the most disgusting. I don't drink that much but I use it on my cereal and get calcium other ways when I can.

I have to go with Steve on this one. Being an athropologist I feel the need to say... We are the only species which drinks milk from a different mammal(s). Looking at this... it is odd we drink milk from cows. I think it is even odder we feed our children milk from a cow because biologically the milk that comes from humans is perfected to be fed to humans! If you study the make-up of human milk and how it changes throughout a feeding you will find it truly amazing. Back to your question I would definitely say not to drink cows milk. The biological make-up of cows milk is ment for a large, heavy, moo-ing cow. Not humans. If you really want to drink cows milk I would pull up a chart comparing the nutritional make-up of cows milk vs. human milk. (you want to look especially at water content, fat, whey vs. cassein.) Of course there is always going to be some controversy on soy... so do your research and hope for the best! I personally love hemp milk. Someone else also suggested almond milk. Peace. |

The only healthy soy products are the fermented (miso, tempeh and etc ) one (period) Almond, hemp, and raw/uncontaminated cow/goat milk are all healthy choices IMHO. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote:

Also, aren't we the only mammal that drinks milk after we've been weaned off of it? I drink non-homogonized (sp?!) organic milk but really think we shouldn't be drinking any milk at all. I've heard (all hearsay but interesting nontheless) that soy milk is a contributing factor to prostrate cancer in men, and that male babies fed soy milk don't tend to develop fully. And of course if milk is a no-no, so is cheese, butter, yadda yadda. Makes sense but boy, wish it didn't taste so good! Perhaps the emotional satisfaction from a good piece of cheese with a good glass of wine outweighs the physical harm it might be doing to my body. |
