Default Relaxation and Standing Practice

I know there are a few of us here who practice martial arts and love the transformative nature they have. I'm a long time teacher of the Chinese martial arts of tai chi (taiji), bagua, and xingyi. These arts rely completely on having a relaxed and aligned with gravity posture. This practice is an excellant method of stress reduction. If you like you can read my instructional article on this method on my blog right here

Thanks for the article, Buddy!

I always knew that breathing made a difference in terms of improving relaxation, but I wasn't fully aware of the importance of posture.

Interesting article - I put it through StumbleUpon since I think others can really benefit from it. I agree with Zukin; I always knew that breathing could affect how relaxed you are, but I never paid much attention to my posture, or tried to do a standing exercise while breathing.

Thanks guys. Standing practice is really one of the big "secrets" of internal Chinese martial arts. At the same time as healing your body, it develops tremendous static power. It's odd that something so simple can be so profound!

PS
Soon I'm going to post the 6 healing sounds and how to perform them!
