Default Raw foodism

Just started this diet about a week ago. Anyone else thinking about going on this watch out because many of the foods or items that have "raw" in the title are not in fact raw as I have found. I have read on a website that many items that people think are "raw" are actually not. I.E agave nectar, maple syrup, raw cashews are usually thrown in the oven to cook off the shell and plenty others. This is the only obstacle that I have encountered going on this diet. I probably will plant some plants at my house and grow my own food since it's pretty difficult shopping for this kind of diet.

Going raw is easier said than done. The only advice I can give you is trust your instincts. If something tastes cooked, once you've been on the raw diet long enough, you will know. Buying produce is a sure-fire way to ensure that what you eat is raw. If you are committed to lifelong health, maple syrup is probably not the best thing for you anyway. Up the vegetables, nuts, and seeds, and just make sure they are raw. Call the company and ask. If you are eating 100% raw anyway, a couple of cooked nuts/seeds won't kill you anyway, but the principle is very important. One (time-consuming) suggestion is to buy the nuts you eat in the shell. Hope you have a nutcracker available.

Default Week 2

I'm on week 2 of this diet and as of present moment I feel like crap. My head hurts, my back hurts, my eyes hurt etc. I guess this is just how bad my previous diet was if all this detoxing is going on. I'm sure I'll feel better next week or 2 ;p.

Wow. Are you sure it's just detox and not deficiency?
