Default Getting rid of mucus produced by dairy consumption

I have sinned again; and have started eating cheese and milk products!

After 4 months of going without milk( slipping up once in a while ), my body is going crazy. I feel and am bloated. I had never stopped eating milk products before, so I don t have anything to compare these symptoms with, but I am in huge discomfort.

How do you get rid of all the mucus produced by milk and milk derived products? Are there any herbs or detox programs you recommend?

I have stopped eating anything with milk in it for 3 days now, and I do feel better, however, being in London, it is easier to find soy products and milk alternatives than in my usual city of residence, where it is very difficult, due to the very high cost of soy products.

Is this discomfort caused by the milk products, or the fact that I eat milk products from unknown sources( In restaurants or on the go), is organic better?

I would recommend the cleansing and mucusless diets of Dr Christopher and his student Dr Schulze.

Organic is normally always better, for all food types.

To get rid of the bloating, mucas and discomfort, stop eating dairy. Your body will do the rest.

I'd say lots of fiber and lots of water should help more than anything. Your body is probably sensitive to the lactose and is probably not used to digesting it anymore after having been without it for so long. If you're going to eat dairy again, I'd suggest doing it slowly and including digestive enzymes, like lactaid, so your body won't react negatively.

I've been cutting back on the dairy myself, specifically, cheese. Just threw out some queso fresco and broc and cheese processed crap tonight.

Before breaking up with the ex, we were eating MAD dairy products: Bruschetta smothered with cheese, burgers, enchiladas, the like. I can tell you I bloated, and most of it was probably water weight, I guess. But reducing it as much as I have, i've lost 17 lbs. (Gained 10 with him.) Also less snot.

I can tell you that organic doesn't seem to make a huge diff for me. Skim and low fat does; dairy fat does NOT agree with me. I've noted that when I eat, my nose is less runny, oddly.

Specifically, though, am going to work on eating less cheese. Getting my veggie sub tomorrow sans cheese and going to see how it is. I don't even think I can taste it enough to notice. Will update you in week on results.

It will probably just take time after you stop eating them again or reduce them A LOT.

Acidophilus may help with discomforts until then.

I've had dairy sensitvities for years. I find that skim milk doesn't bother me much. However since my daughter is also mildly sensitive to lactose and dairy we buy soy milk now. Silk Enhanced(now Plus or something) in plain flavor to me taste the best.
