Can anyone recommend some good health habits for me to get into, I'm 17 and I want to keep good habits for the rest of my life. (Other than the ones already listed.) I'm sure there are loads i still an't cracked or done anything about yet. -Good diet, free of much crap. Almost Vegetarian. -Exercise aerobically 6 times a week (5 miles run) -Flexibility training everyday -Strength training 3 times a week -Good sleep patterns ~ although it often wavers between Monophasic/Bi-phasic and Polyphasic depending on time of year. (Benefits are questionable). -Meditate 15 mins to half an hour a day ~ although I only do the meditation where you concentrate on your breathing. -I don't drink or smoke. -I only drink water, apart for the odd indulgent very very rarely. And the ultimate - An Ice Cold Shower everyday. Any other things I need to do? I was thinking I should join a club for something, i don't do anything in that respect at the moment Last edited by Jugga J; 08-04-2007 at 06:32 AM. |

why? it depends what you want to get out of 'good health'. everything looks pretty well covered there, I think any addition to what you have would be arguable. Some might say stay free or preservatives and stick with organic food, some may say to swim not run as it puts a lot of stress on your joints, a glass of red wine every day is supposed to be good for the heart... Honestly the only thing I can add is to eat foods that are the least processed. Every time food is processed it looses some goodness. eg grilled fish instead of fish sticks, brown bread instead of white bread... |
