I set a goal of reaching my idea weight 8 months when i was 18 kg heavier . Now i have attained that goal and my recent full blood test shows that all of the indicators are perfectly normal. I really dont what kind of goal should i set next. May be i 'm going to have a centenerian goal of reaching 100 years old . It's not that i'm afraid of dying. I see it as a challenge to live that long and break some records .

off to research OKINAWAN diet

I'm planning on getting a blood test soon but I'm unsure the indicators in our blood they look at assess our health, is it things like blood pressure and cholesterol?

Health/fitness goals;
- Lower my bodyfat % to ~7% (right now at ~13%)
- Lower alcohol consumption and avoid binges (almost there)
- Regular excersize, daily burpee's (I'll be finding other excersizes as well, for now this is the only one), daily walking, taekwondo training weekly and twice a week soccer. Soccer practice is starting soon again, taekwondo training is going fine, daily burpee's I've been doing for ~10 days now and walking I've been doing on and off (right now focusing on maintaining the burpee's).
- Avoid 'bad' eating habits, I have a amazing ability to determine what's good for me and whats bad. Basically if I eat bad foods I can feel it in my stomach/intestine immediatley or the next day in the form of low energy.

Thats about it. Note that the bodyfat goal gets accomplished by regular excersize and 'bad' eating habits, the bodyfat% is basically to measure my results.

I too, would like to live to 100 (or ideally forever, but thats not going to happen!)

However, merely living to 100 is not enough. I want to live to 100 and be able to live on my own, be able to walk around, motate, think, and talk on my own.

If I do die before then, which I'm not wholly opposed to, I don't want it to be a long-term health related death, but rather due to immediate fatal physical damage (like an anvil falling on my head as opposed to a heart attack)

1) Lose ten lbs. Harder than it sounds. Can't get that last ten off.

2) Now that my relationship is O-V-E-R, start doing all that fun selfish stuff that's healthy for me: Hiking, swimming, biking, all that crap I love, but didn't get to do as much.

3) Work on my diet. Really looking to get more protein and more vegetables.

My health goals are to always be fit and healthy to do whatever I choose. So that I have no limits to choices, and so that the physical aspect of my life feels awesome and fun.

Here's an example of what can be tested in blood to chart health levels:

I'm fairly happy with my current level of strength, flexibility and bodyweight. The main thing I'm focusing on right now is to build up sufficient endurance to enjoyably ride my bicycle for 70-100+ miles per day for extended periods of time. Part of the current process is keeping my bicycle healthy enough, as I'm upgrading some of its components and learning more about taking care of it myself for when I'm on the road.

Default hi

I wish to grow healthy in six months by consuming philanthus amblica, almonds
juice, sprouts on regular basis. I wish to grow healthy from inside.I think if a person is strong from inside then he or she can handle the problems in life strongly.

Red face

I have actually achieved many of my top health goals. I went vegan (8 years ago), stopped smoking (4 years ago), stopped drinking (last November) and started a regular physical practice (Qigong, 2 years ago).

Right now I'm trying to make my eating and sleeping more regular and adding regular walks and limited isometric exercise to my routine.

I like to think of my health goals (and goals in general) more in terms of the activity they add to my life and less in terms of numbers. It just sticks for me that way.

Thanks for starting this thread!

3. to consume wheat grass (4 days so far)
4. to meditate more
5. to exercise more
7. to eat, more nuts, seeds and lagumes (no problem, easy)
8. to start yoga
9. to start chi kung
10. to start parkour
11.to be a happier person ( ha,ha,ha,ha,ha...... getting there)

Thats it ' i think'

Default maintaining status quo

good thread!!!

i am one of those annoying people, that have nt gained any weight in 35 years. I don't smoke but i do like to drink and i probably eat too many of the wrong foods (i acknowledge i went vegetarian for 3 years and felt fantastic but the lure of bacon was too much) i walk a lot and do some meditiation and generally enjoy life.

my goal is to continue to be able to enjoy a good glass of scotch with my bacon sandwich while i listen to Beethoven's 7th symphony. My view is that for me that adds up to quality of life and i would rather have that than quantity. But would also add, it is also personal, which is what makes the thread so fascinating. I wouldn't recommend my goals for everybody, and i am sure the non smoking, non drinking vegans wouldn't recommend i change either. Thank god we are all different, makes us all mch more interesting.
