Hey guys. I just wrote an article on the the importance of keeping the body in good order, and how a healthy physical existence can create tremendous benefit for your mind.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Here's the article.

I enjoyed reading the article and it definitely says a lot. I hate looking in society and noticing so many out-of-shape people. I have to ask myself how can they let themselves get like that? I believe that, for the most part, that the sluggish, flabby, and weak bodies that we see are the result of sheer laziness. And then they wonder why they get depressed, experience physical pain, and have trouble doing everyday activity. Keeping your body up to par is an absolutely vital part of your life, and you should treat it with tons of respect and care.

Andrew Michaels... using better sex as an incentive for people to get in shape is pretty cool... and probably highly effective... my hat goes off to you...

PS.- Now that I mentioned that sex is in your article... everyone will rush to read it...

Good article. Sorry to hear that you have had such a tough time. Do you smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol? They are drug addictions and hurt physical and mental health. Stopping those 2 addictions can make a big improvement in one's life. Somebody was saying that almost all depressed people that she met, smoked cigarettes. She was depressed and smoked. My mother was a chain smoker and was depressed but she had the personality of a happy person.

I never smoked but here is my undestanding of it. If I need to urinate but cannot do it right away, I cannot enjoy myself since the pain gets worse and worse until I do it. As the nicotine level in the blood drops, the pain gets worse and worse until they smoke. I knew a cocaine addict and the day he stopped smoking cigarettes, he acted delerious and he would also drool like a dog. So even though he was a hard core drug addict, stopping smoking reaped havoc on his nervous system.

Here are things to fix: "when they big problems." Then you have "sore" with a line break followed by "Exercise." I do not know if it was
a new paragraph and you forgot to skip a line or an accidental
line break like I just did.

Also no need to use vulgar slang like "my ass down." It is a distraction. For example all I know about what the VP did was that he shot a guy in the face and said "f**k" in public. When a mother says to a kid "don't say f**k," the kid can say "WTF, why not, the VP of the USA says it." That is how I will remember him unless he does something more newsworthy. An ass is an animal just like a bitch is a female dog.

Also I heard that vegans are supposed to make an effort not to use animal words to put down people which makes the animal appear to be disgusting. Like you pig, ass, bitch, cow, chicken (do chickens scare easily?), dog etc. So I suggest that you do not need to be like the VP and use vulgar language or shoot someone in the face while trying to shoot an animal for fun (hunting).

It seems to me that you're projecting yourself and the reasons for your own depression onto the public at large, especially in that first section. What I mean is that I know plenty of overweight people who are by no means depressed. In my experience, they are far from a slim minority. As an example, my parents have been overweight all throughout my life, but they didn't let that dictate who they were or what they did. They simply accepted their bodies for what they were and moved on. There's no rocket science to it. It's simply just a different perspective. I'm not exactly slender either, having a 30.9 BMI, down from a 35.7. While I'm making an effort to reduce that further, I hardly feel depressed because of it. I'm dropping the weight to be a healthier, more energetic and attractive person. That's all.

I guess my point is that you can't assume that most overweight people are depressed. Some people, namely those whose appearance is very important to them, are bound to be, but not everyone's self esteem is centered around that. Yours truly included.

you've got some good information in your blog-
too bad you won't attract people to it by putting down others.
condecending judgement doesn't usually inspire folks.

but hey, if that's how you roll and putting down another person makes you feel good about yourself-
I'll give you that much because it's all you have.
not all fat people are lazy...
some people truely have medical issues.

Brandi - You obviously have never read any articles at Craig Harper's website!!

The OP's website is fabulous. Personal development is a time to GET REAL. Stop being so sensitive...results are achieved by recognizing truth. The OP does not state that his observations are true for all people but for most. He is achieving, he is successfull, he is intelligent, he knows what he's talking about.
