Requesting links to forums for various types of fasting (Also some questions )
I am asking for links from the experienced Fasters here. Links to forums dedicated to the topic of fasting.
I am mainly asking for links to forums, but if you think a non forum link to be quite useful, please share it as well.
A few weeks ago during one morning, I received an intuitive impression that i go on a fast to deal with a root canal infection. There doesn't seem to be enough time to do this asking with Steve pulling the plug on the forum so suddenly, but i thought i would put it out here anyway. I have just completed the course of Anti Biotics given by the Dentist. The seepage in the gum has ceased, but it feels like there might be a little bit more.
I have started to look at some threads in this forum on fasting, but from what i have seen so far, it has been only on water fasting. I am hoping to also get forum links covering other types of fasting. Where i may get some clues to help me make a decision. I have some ideas, and not really keep on just focusing on a water fast alone. I don't know if it will be harder than the juice fast. There is also the complication of i may be limited in time because i may not get support from other family members that i live with, and i will need to return to work eventually.
If there is time for others to respond, this is a bit of my experience and types of fasting i have done. I also explain some ideas i have, and ask for opinions from experienced people.
I have done Vegetable juice fasting at least 3 in my life. I had a Water fasting experience of a day and a half amidst a 10 day total fast with vegetable juices (and Urine therapy as well) in the remaining days. Under the guidance of a herbalist, i have also fasted on wheat grass and herbs for about 6 weeks, which cleared arthritic conditions in my joints and also seemed to heal something else i had going on. That was around about 15 years ago and it was my first experience of any type of fast.
I did a four and a half day organic vegetable juice fast the other week and stopped it mid way. I had a very light headed experience after i got up from packing a box, and i thought that was not safe to continue with forklifts moving around the place. I thought it best to wait until the holidays before considering a longer time frame for fasting, which i want to start after Christmas. I am undecided yet as to what i will do exactly, but i am thinking of 4 to 7 days on Vegetable juice at the start, and also at the tail end.. the in between time i am thinking of either a water fast, or a wheat grass fast with herbs to support immune system and infection related herbs.
I do recal reading other fasters mentioning a gradual return to eating food. I also recall how difficult it has been every time i have ended each fast i have done. I did it more easily the one i did the other week than i have in the past.
I intend to apply some of what i am reading in a book at the moment, by Ramiel Nagel. The book is called Cure Tooth Decay, Heal & Prevent Cavities with Nutrition. I am so amazed that whole grains can do such damage to ones health..... I look at my history and it really makes a lot of sense.
Any suggestions from experienced fasters in regards time frames one might consider for what i explained about my tooth. I am a little bit on the thin side, and that makes it a bit of a challenge with family members for whatever level of weight loss would appear (even though i know that part of that is water loss)....
Opinions form experienced people are welcome..
