Default Solitary Drinking Gives no Buzz

If I go out and drink in a social situation, I definitely feel loose and tipsy in a good way and tend to enjoy myself more. But if I try to duplicate the feeling at home alone, it doesn't work at all. I only get sleepy. If I drink more, I get sick.

The good news is I'll never be an alcoholic. But does anyone else experience this? Why would this be the case?

Is there any natural concoction that gives a nice buzz?

lol because your "buzz" is only a fake buzz that you put up for everyone else. When you are alone, there is less motivation to do so. We used to sneak our friend non alcoholic beer, and watch him get "drunk"

Thats Pretty Funny Russian Rocket.

I'd have to agree that I too get "loose" while out with people. I seem to have a natural response to crowds: panic attacks. Alcohol definitely numbs me from getting to a Panic attack. But trying to do this without alcohol is a very conscious effort.

Lioness, I usualy drink alcohol "alone" at home, however I end up playing online games with 20+ of my friends, so i get the same feeling. One thing I've noticed is that if I dont drink alcohol, but just the mixer i would use (usually Diet coke) I get almost half of the same effect as adding the alcohol. This tells me that the act of drinking a bubbly sugar drink while playing video games is something I've created a neurological connection to and I don't really need the Alcohol for it.

I had a friend once tell me that he did some kind of drugs while drinking and watching 8+ anime tv shows very very late at night. He said it was a huge high for him. Next morning he sobered up, had breakfast, then turned on the tv to watch the next Anime show, and the Buzz came back with the exact same potency!

Strange stuff our brains can do!
