Default Vegas Vegan/Raw Restaurant Recommendations

Hi all, I'm going to be down in Las Vegas May 16-23 for, among other things, the I Can Do It seminar. This will be my first time visiting since going Vegan nine months ago and rather than just winging my diet for ~8 days I figure a little pre-planning is in order.

I'll be staying at The Sahara on the far north end of The Strip, so any place in the general vicinity is a plus, but all places on/very near The Strip would be helpful as I plan to spend time all over.

Reasonable pricing always helps, but as long as it's healthy, I might as well indulge

Thanks in advance for any recommendations,
Josh

You're in luck!

You'll want to go to Komol, a vegan thai restaurant that is on Sahara, just a mile east of the strip. Here is their website: Komol Restaurant

They have meat and they have a separate kitchen for the vegan stuff. They will treat you well!

Our favorites include: vegetarian panang, sweet and sour tofu (chinese style), egg rolls, orange tofu, pad thai, tofu satay, fried rice, sweet potato puffs, etc.

Other vegan places to eat around the strip:
P.F. Chang's
California Pizza Kitchen (inside the Mirage)
Cheesecake Factory inside the Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace
All of these have good vegan options if you ask

The raw restaurant is further out so you would need a vehicle or lots of cab fare. Chances are you won't have time to foray out that far if you're going to the conference. We could very well be at Komol's on Sunday evening so look for us there after the conference. Not sure yet, but it's a good bet.

Wow, links, menus, recommended dishes! How did Steve ever get along without you?

Thanks a lot,
Josh

Yes, I sent a notice to everyone who told me in advance that they were coming. I will send it to you as well. If anyone else is coming and hasn't told me or received the notice, pm me.
