I easily get panic attacks and agitated which prevents me from sleeping. I was on a prescription known as zopiclone which seems to work very well, but I ran out and don't wanna ask my doctor for more as he won't wanna prescribe them to me anyway. What remedy is there that can get me tired to the point where i just want to sleep and I'm not talking about some pansy naturopathic thing that is just meant to be a relaxant, I'm talking about something that can instantly knock me out within half an hour of taking. Before anyone says to check out what's bothering me, I am trying to seek help but in order for my insurance to cover it, it's a long bureaucratic process which could take months. I need help on this though b/c I've been going to sleep way too late and been waking up late, Thank God I only work evening shifts at this point, but I need this to help for when I get a career.

Hi, you need to pinpoint and focus on the reason why you can not sleep rather than take drugs to make you sleep and not treat the reason behind it. Focus all your efforts to fix the root cause. In the meantime you can do many natural things which will make you sleep. Note that some of the methods may be strong and some may be mild, but several mild put together also make a strong effect. I have many articles on ways to get to sleep on my Sleep Disorders website, here is the one that comes to mind: 30 Great Tips | What Can Help Me Sleep? Try to use as many of those methods as possible for an aggregated effect, but remember, your mission #1 must to be find and deal with the root cause of what is creating your sleep problems. |

Actually you may not need your doctor to find the cause. I suggest you 2 things: 1. Google those exact 2 items you described and see how other people have dealt with them. Whatever issue you have for certain you are not the only person, there are 7 billion other live experiments going on right now If you do not find on Google it means you are searching badly. Try various keywords, try exact searches with quotation marks, try excluding certain uninteresting words with minus sign, etc. 2. When you go to bed, don't lie down. Put your pillows towards the wall and sit down. Relax and start doing abdominal breathing. Breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth while tongue is touching the top of your mouth. The reason I picked this one is because it will take certain amount of focus from you to get all those things working properly and your mind should follow your breathing. This is meditation. As a consequence sometimes you will find yourself asleep and you will not remember how you went from meditation to sleep. Another case is where, after some time you feel sleepy, then lie down on your back and continue the exercise, don't think about sleeping and again you will find yourself asleep and not remembering how. Finally, I am also hoping a little that in such a relaxed state of mind and body if those 2 syptoms happen to you then you may be able to simply observe them and over time learn to accept them if needed or learn more about them as you are in a relaxed state of mind and body. best of luck |
