Hello. I am unsure if this is the correct section for this question, but it seemed fitting enough and I did not see any better place to ask. Anyway, here is the problem. Until about 6 months ago, nearly every morning, I would drink hot Ovaltine made with skim milk. This was delicious and healthy and a great way to start my day. Unfortunately, the recipe for Ovaltine was changed, and it now tastes disgusting hot with skim milk (although it is OK cold with 2%, but my family does not buy 2%, and, regardless, it would still not be my choice drink to start my morning.) So, for the last few months, I have simply been drinking orange juice, which, while OK, is still not an excellent drink. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am open to any recipes from any part of the world and willing to try nearly any suggestion. The only parameters are that it must not take an excessive amount of time to make (about 30 minutes is the absolute max,) and that it does not cost a large amount money as I will be drinking it frequently. Additionally, it can not contain any alcohol, as I am under 18. Preference would be given to healthy drinks, but otherwise is fine. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. |

Do you have a blender? If so try a healthy smoothie. My favorite that I drink most days is the following: -3 bananas -frozen strawberries -frozen mango -hemp seeds -spinach -water Trust me you can't taste the spinach, but it gives you an extra mineral boost. The hemp seeds give you omega 3's, lots of minerals, and a great amino acid profile. The fruits are full of vitamins and excellent source of energy. The fats in the seeds also slow down the insulin production creating a more sustained, and longer lasting energy. Also add in the fact you have a nice bit of fiber to move things along. It should take no more than 5 minutes to make, and clean the blender. This is a complete meal that is very easy to digest, and mine usually comes to around 700 calories. |

How about a protein shake made with hot milk? You don't need to get a shake mixture designed to bulk you up, just something with a great taste and full of vitamins and other nutrients. Cheers, Eisho |

Scorpio's was a great suggestion. A lot of people have great success with smoothies for breakfast. A word of caution about protein shakes; some (most) of them are packed with preservatives, texturizers, and just really weird ♥♥♥♥ that I can't pronounce. OJ is good but fruit smoothies are even better because they have more fiber. |
