Default 30 Day Liquid Fast

I plan on drinking any liquid really on this fast, mostly juices (I don't have a juicer, so I'll just buy pure juice from the store). I want to develop discipline as well as end my emotional eating. I've done many fasts in the past, but none as long as this. Tracking my progress will help keep me accountable. You can tell me this is not healthy/I won't last, but life is about taking risks. I've done research on this, and the benefits outweigh the negatives. I plan on eating home made veggie soups/smoothies just in case I need to for whatever reason.

I don't plan on weighing myself because I'm not focused on weight loss. This is more of a mental thing. I want to learn to deal with my emotions rather than turning to food, such as stress or boredom. Ah yes, I'm 20 and female just in case you were wondering.

Hey this should be fun

Many have lost weight on drinking fruit juices alone and some on smoothies. It's best to buy fresh fruit juices if you have that option . Good luck with your goal and please do keep us posted. We want to hear about your progress. Maybe some of us hear can learn from your experience

Sorry for not keeping you guys updated! I didn't start the liquid fast when I first posted this topic because I needed to ease into it by eating less. I also had a lot going on with work and studies. So I started the liquid fast today. I drank a large bottle of carrot juice (from Costco) throughout the day and had a glass of tropicana orange juice in the afternoon. I had some chewable multivitamins when I came back home. I'm about to go to sleep...It went pretty well today. I was really tempted to eat something when I came back home. That's usually the time I eat a lot. I really want to break that habit. I'm looking forward to tomorrow. I should drink more water.

It's the Grey Cup game tomorrow! Whoo! Go Lions!

EDIT: I also forgot to add that I was asked several times today if I wanted lunch/dinner. After saying "no" numerous times, I felt uncomfortable. I just said I wasn't hungry. I haven't really told anyone about this fast because I honestly don't think they will understand. I have to becareful who I tell...
I'm going to Costco to buy more carrot juice tomorrow. as well as chicken broth.

EDIT: Ugh I just told my mom that I finished a day of liquid fasting and her response was: "I thought you started last week." To me this is a great accomplishment, but oh well, I'm not doing this for anyone but me. I find that when I stress, I think of food. This is something I need to overcome: emotional eating. I will try my best to avoid situations that will only stress me out and boredom.

Thanks for the encouragement Buying pure juice isn't so cheap, but it's worth it eh. I also don't know how long this fast should be. I planned for it to be a 30 day fast, but looking at the calendar, I have a Christmas Gala dinner event on Dec. 18th. So I'm thinking of making it a 21 day fast. That way I end early enough to be able to ease back into a normal diet. I want to break the fast well...Soup wouldn't be a bad food to break the fast with, and they served soup last year at the Gala. It was amazing soup! The fact that I still remember the taste makes it amazing!
