I just read it today. The author did a number of self-experiments with different formats of fasting and intermittent fasting and recorded his findings here.
Makes an interesting read.

My normal diet is a 17/7 daily IF and it works very well for me. I did 20/4 yesterday without meaning to and felt fine

I think if you like the Four Hour Body book, you'll like this. This is a lot shorter and is completely free to download or read on the site.

those who are thinking about fasting or considering to start one please do your research because doing things the wrong way is just going to harm your body.

I tried intermittent fasting for a while earlier this year (I don't remember for exactly how long but a decent little trial.) It worked pretty well. I definitely saw results but I thought it could be hard to stay with long term. Later I read 4HB and starting doing slow-carb. He mentions IF in the book and says it one of only three methods he knows of for reliable weight/fat loss but he says it's hard to stick with which is why he doesn't recommend it, but whatever works for you, you should do.
