Default University health declaration: What would exclude me from a social work degree?

I've been offered a place on a social work degree course, but it is conditional on a health declaration and suitability form being satisfactory. I have issues with depression and an eating disorder, and I am taking antidepressants but am not receiving any other treatment other than GP checkups. Do these issues have the potential to exclude me from the course?

I doubt it. I worked in social work for a number of years and it seemed that most of the people even on the masters or PhD level were significantly more disturbed than the people they were treating.

I would think it would be more like what is required for staff in a healthcare facility - we have to have a physical exam when hired, and be screened for TB annually.

It sounds like a routine thing to me, and they're most likely screening for contagious diseases and possibly something that might be fatal (i.e., you might die of it before you finish the program). So long as you're receiving treatment, I can't see that there would be a problem.
