Default Fasting and exercise

Hi everyone,

I am interested in a 7 day water fast or longer. Although I have fasted before there are some problems that I had and am wondering what you have done about them. Here are the issues I have had.

Day 1 through 3: Moodiness, frustration, and impatience

Day 4 though 7: Fainting, weakness, chills, spaciness

Is it possible to do all that and exercise 2 hours a day 5 days a week?

Hi dear,
Fasting and exercise are both helpful for the weight loss. But you should not focus on the fasting, because fasting resulting in the weakness. you should do the exercise and take the proper diet.

Why do you feel the need to exercise 2 hours a day 5 days a week?
Doing something light like Tai Chi would probably be the best idea.

She didn't say anything about wanting to lose weight.

I wouldn't do heavy exercise on a fast. Even if you can get through it, you aren't taking in any protein or other nutrients needed to repair your muscles after stressing them. Stick with light exercise.

Hi again,

Weight loss is not really my main goal as I am already physically active. I am mainly interested in the spiritual benefit of it. I was mainly wondering what others experienced when they fasted and how they handled it.

Exercising 2 hours a day 5 days a week is normally considered over doing it, with out even being on a fast. If you want something spiritual, then let your mind and body REST.

If it's making you sick, don't do it.

I agree with the above poster, if you want something spiritual, then rest. Rp

I've never fasted because I am a hungry hungry hippo, so I don't have much real advice to give – sorry!

Approximately how many times have you fasted before?

I ask because I feel like the fainting, spaciness, chills, etc. get better after your body has expelled more of its toxins.
For instance, a person's first 7 day fast will be a lot harder than their 10th 7 day fast. When your body is cleaning itself, the ♥♥♥♥ that's been hiding comes out to play. Mercury, plastics, other chemicals, as well as indigestible food that's been sitting in the intestines or colon for weeks, months, or years. The less of this stuff is sitting around, the less negative effects during the fast.

This would be my second or third. I am curious to know how toxins affect mood. Thanks

I am on the morning of Day 4 of water-only fasting.

My body is telling me to relax and take it easy. On my earlier fasts over a week there is no way I would want to try anything other than light walking

Choose one at a time:

1. Water-only fasting

or

2. Eating and exercise

Can you link me to some info explaining how the fainting and such is actually caused by toxins and not low blood sugar and the reason you start feeling better is your body adjusts to creating glucose from fat stores?

I think fasting and exercising is quite tough to do but its great for weight loss , do it only if you can otherwise only exercise is enough to do.

Yes I agree with you, Follow any one fasting or exercise if you do bot you will weak very soon. Or to avoid these health issues you can go for healthy supplements or nutritional supplements or natural weight loss supplements as they will take care of your health and your energy level will also be maintained.
