I prefer it when people do not ask why. It is not exactly something that can be shared in a sound-byte.

Well because the temporal length of it exceeds the acceptable range of the typical sound byte. In my experience, the person asking generally only wants a sound byte but succinctness is not always optimal.

Oooh yeah, I would rather people just not ask why I'm vegetarian. I would rather they just say, "oh, cool, fair enough" when I bring it up rather than give me the third degree .

Just about EVERYTHING a person can ask you about can exceed sound byte length, but only because the person is going to ask you more questions.
Do you just never talk about any thing what's so ever that exceeds sound byte length, or have you chosen this one topic to do that with?
