My favorite is spin. It's definitely helped get me in shape and improve my speed. Maybe for faster reflexes you could try some sort of martial art?

I don't have time for martial arts right now. I'm planing on playing a sport soon.

I can share some experience here since I use to do certain drills that were designed specifically to train for speed and explosiveness, in my case, it was in martial arts.

The drills were not traditional martial arts techniques. Instead, they were exercises in a field known as pylometrics. We modified general pylometric exercises to match as close as possible, the martial arts techniques we wanted to develop more speed in.

In my case, most of the pylometric work I did involved the legs with certain jump drills. These were done to train the fast twitch muscles for specific motions I wanted to get better at.

Although pylometrics does not involve too much equipment, they were very intense exercises. If interested, I would suggest that you do some research into pylometrics and then adapt it for your specific sport.

Have fun.

Sprints, jumping rope, boxing, MMA, tennis, squash... choose which you like, doesn't have to be boring running at the gym while you stare at a wall...
