Default Feel Like a Teenager

I'm a 21 year old female and I've got the lifestyle of an adult (got a college degree, property, steady partner, steady full-time graduate job etc). I'm short and slim (5'1 and 92lbs), but I dress professionally and act & speak like I'm older, so people constantly mistake me for someone in my mid-twenties. But in many ways (both physically and psychologically), I still feel like a teenager (or sometimes more like a little PRE-TEEN!). Is this normal?

I don't know... does anyone ever really feel like a "grown up"? Maybe they do but it hasn't happened to me yet either . (And yeah, I'm quite a bit older than you!).

As long as you are having a great start to your career and your relationship is stable, I don't see anything wrong with feeling young. I'm 50 and I sometimes feel like a kid too!

I guess it depends how and why you feel like this.

I agree that no one ever feels like an adult. I've been waiting for that moment, and it hasn't quite come. I'm almost 23, in my last year of college, married, and living on our own. It always feels like everyone else has it figured out.

I regularly feel like a kid, though. Lately I've been getting interested again in games I had as a kid. Unfortunately some of them don't exist anymore. But we recently ordered Don't Break the Ice, because Christine had never seen it before, and it was definitely a throwback to childhood.

I like having the enthusiasm, excitement, and innocence of childhood though. That's one thing I like about Christine, and I think I have it a bit myself, too. Nothing wrong with it.

That sounds fine - I've been mistaked for someone in my 30's before, and I'm only in my mid-twenties. Shows that you're mature.

Still there's nothing wrong with youthful adventures. Part of you can be mature and part of you can still be adventurous.

Do you know about Hyperbole and a Half? I love this blog and, while the art is awful, it gets the point across perfectly. Don't worry, live your life.

Also, if you're a dog lover, you have to check out the Simple Dog posts. Some of the funniest blogging I've ever seen.
