Default Hpv.

i'm 20 and yesterday I was diagnosed with HPV, and I feel terrible because one mistake has caused me to have a virus that has no medication to treat/cure it. My doctor told me the only way it will go away is by my immune system cleaning it out...in two years. I don't want anyone to know, ever. I'd never get over the embarrassment. How am I supposed to explain to my future boyfriend that I can't have sex with him? I can't smoke weed, I can't drink. My only option is to build up my immune system as fast as possible. any ideas how to do that? should I tell my parents?

Approximately 20 million Americans are currently infected with HPV. Another 6 million people become newly infected each year. HPV is so common that at least 50% of sexually active men and women get it at some point in their lives.

you can relax

I'm not saying I'm going to die, I'm asking for suggestions. I can still give it to people, it still hinders my life, and the symptoms make me like I have a constant flu. The statistics of how many people get it doesn't do much, I've already read up on everything. this is a place I can talk about it without anyone knowing me, so you relax.

Here's another statistic: " In 90% of cases, the body's immune system clears HPV naturally." Those are excellent stats, meaning you probably don't have to go to extravagant measures to boost your immune system.

Ease up on your junk food intake, eat fresh, healthy non-processed food, and eliminate as much stress as possible. Get some exercise every day, relax as much as you can, meditate, and visualize yourself as totally healthy. Laugh a lot. Spend time with people you really like.

I'm perfectly relaxed. lol. I mention the stats, because you are freaking out.
Talking about how you will explain to your future boyfriend. 90% of cases, it goes away within 2 years. Half the population will get it at some point in their lives. So the point is, that it's not as big of a deal as you are making it out to be, which is what stats are meant to show.

So, MORE then likely, it will go away very soon. Not really something you should tell your parents about, unless you normally tell them this kinda stuff. It doesn't hinder your life much, except for having sex for a few years. And even then, people still have sex, and it can be prevented with condom use. Most people with HPV do not develop symptoms or health problems from it, so, I dunno if you ALREADY have flu like symptoms, or you are just assuming you will have those symptoms.

Hi Keast, HPV is asymptomatic in most people. The flu-like symptoms are most likely due to the initial infection and will go away. Use condoms during sex, keep getting yearly pap smears (I'm assuming you're a woman), do STD screens in the future, and be happy!

Too bad that you do not want to know how to help your immune system get rid of it. I could help you with that. You just want to know how many people have it. Just kidding! Make sure to eat lots of garlic, onions and mushrooms of all sorts like SHITake mushrooms!☺ Get exercise that helps circulation. Get lots of sunlight or take vitamin D supplements.

Eat a healthy diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and beans that all have phytochemicals. This has some herbs to help with it:

Did you know that a positive attitude also boosts your immune system? Guess what gives you a positive attitude. Knowing that you aren't alone, that a lot of people have it and or will get it, and that what you have isn't as big of a deal as you originally thought it was.
