Default What Kind of Doctors do You Use?

I read where one of the big reasons why Chinese millionaires want to immigrate to America is because we have "such great healthcare." I had to laugh. As a resident of the USA, I would sooner go to a traditional Chinese doctor than a conventionally-trained American doctor (except for life-threatening emergencies, of course). I find MD's useful for diagnosing, but nothing more. I feel fortunate that I have never been treated by one. I think it's one of the secrets to staying healthy. (I'm 61).

This got me to wondering what kind of doctors people use and for what purpose. I have used mainly chiropracters, but also some naturopaths, acupuncturists, massage therapists, energy workers, and colonic therapists. Half the time, I used these to maintain my health rather than try to fix something.

as per#2, I've fired all my doctors, as I know more.
The last one, Overdosed me on a cream,
ruining a lung, & a heart-valve. - So now I get to REgrow
a new lung & a new heart, before I Iceskate again...

Also, I only use Sports Massage therapists

A sports medicine doctor is the only one I really use and even that, I don't see him that often. I don't use any of the alternative health folks at all simply because I don't feel I need them.

I hear you and personally I avoid visiting mainstream doctors when I need medical help, but it has been my experience and observation that we have, in general, very good medical services and -practitioners in South Africa. I have travelled a lot, also to first world countries, and this is still my opinion. In that regard we are really fortunate.

I see a homeopath for general ails, and prefer to live prophylactically!
