Default yayyyyy! No exercise for years to 45+minutes per day

Oh this is great.

I didn't exercise because of Depression, and A Ineffective Mindset towards exercise even though I deeply wanted to be fit and exercise every day.

I decided it was possible to exercise for 30-6o minutes per day despite what were impossible barriers. Just believing and knowing anyway.

I got the idea to research the right mindset to have.

And I've been doing so much more exercise!!!! I've even lost a bit of weight!!!

And my thighs just above my knees it feels like it's getting a little firm there!

I'd love firm toned thighs!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to put up a new website on weight loss which will include my amazing exercise mindset!!!!!!

(Makes you love/enjoy exercise)

That's great Emily / RoxyRuby. It's great that you are feeling better from exercising.

When I was in the Army, I had to do various Physical Training Exercises for 2 hours 4 days a week as it was part of the Job Description. This training regime really got me fitter and better. The exercises I did were mainly upper body, lower body, arms and legs exercises which consisted of running and marching carrying heavy weights, press ups, sit ups, squat thrusts, burpees, crunches etc.

Recently, I do alot of walking, running and swimming which I really enjoy.

Awesome. I find that exercise is best when you change your entire mindset about what it is. In other words, exercise was never meant to be an after thought or something you plan and go do. It was meant to be a part of life. A part of finding food, surviving, building shelter etc. Obviously a lot of us don't have to do any of that anymore so we end up planning it. I try as best I can to incorporate different things like sets of pushups or jog with my dogs during my day instead of taking a chunk of time out to go exercise. This seems to gel best with my energy levels, mood and overall flow during the day.

Exercise is just who you are. It's how built up energy is released, endorphins to lift your mood, strengthening your body in many forms and helps to sweat out toxins. When I used to work at a treatment center the first thing I would do with the teens was get them out moving. Then, we could sit down and talk after that. Often, the big issues that were troubling them just sort of melted away after exercise and it could be noticed that more exercise was exactly what they needed.

Just wait until I unveil everything in the website!!!

But in the meantime here's a automatic running twitter feed I created which contains mostly everything

Exercise Addict (@XerciseAddict) on Twitter

I do walking and dancing (just moving my body probably mild-medium intensity).

I love how you are so positive and excited Chris, Christian, and Mighty!

What kind of dancing do you like doing? Do you prefer speed walking (walking really fast) or long distance walking? I prefer both.

That's great!! I felt the same way about 3-5 months ago and have remained the mindset since!!

Exercise is awesome. Aside from all the physical benefits, the mental benefits of clearing up depression, anxiety, and many other things alone is amazing. Have you looked into Peak 8 (or High Intensity Interval Training)? I'd recommend checking it out.

Good on you! That is how they say it in the land down under, right? Some expets say that exercise works better than drugs on depression. Here is something for you from the land down under.
