| My wife & me have been into tantra stuff lately. At the same time, i'm considering a vasectomy, since our family plans have all worked out. I have no hangups about this at all, but nevertheless, i'd like to know from members having had "the snip", if it had any influence on their (sexual or other) energy, and in what way? |

| I haven't been snipped, but a year or so ago I began researching it as a possibility. If you choose to go through with it, seriously consider having an open ended non scalpel vasectomy. A large percentage of men who have the normal close ended version where the ends are cauterized experience an uncomfortable amount of pressure buildup. Google "post vasectomy pain". "This syndrome can begin immediately after the vasectomy or many months or even years after the vasectomy has been completed. The frequency of post vasectomy syndrome varies amongst given practitioners. Some studies report as high as one third of men after vasectomy have some type of lingering discomfort. Other studies report that the frequency of post vasectomy pain is one case in thousands."
