LoveConsciousness is on a distinguished road
Default Raw/living vegan diet vs. Sattvic/yogic diet

Hey guys. So I've been trying to detox and cleanse out my system with the raw food diet. I drink a green smoothie every morning and eat nothing else throughout the day that isn't a fruit, veggie, nut, or seed.

I feel like this diet is good for my current goal of detoxing, but I've heard that it isn't the healthiest option for the long term because of how it unbalanced your energy. In ancient Chinese medicine, they say it's vital to eat some sort of warming foods along with the cold foods. It's keeps everything balanced and your energy is overall better.

The diet that is said to promote the best long-term health is the sattvic or yogic diet. It is an all natural diet, but includes grains (mostly rice), beans, and even organic dairy and meat products...all of which the raw vegan diet does not include.

I'm fairly new (a couple months) to the raw food scene and I only heard about this ancient diet a couple days ago, so any information on which one is better for long term health is much appreciated.

I'm drawn to the sattvic diet only because of the benefits it claims to jaw for the spiritually inclined. It days it promotes a calm lifestyle with a quiet mind...this helps with meditation. Also it says that it balances the cold and warm foods to keep your body in balance with nature.

Namaste
