I don't think so. You're not getting enough sleep. See this: ![]() And, why not to sleep more at night, say 3am to 7am, and less in the evening? I mean, doing the core sleep when most people is sleeping. The best idea is try it and see what works for you and calibrate it by trial and error. Good luck. |

You might just about manage it on a 4.5 hour sleep and 2 nap schedule, but it might just be a little too far. I would suggest either having 6 hours at night and a 20 minute nap at 4, or a 4.5 hour night sleep and 90 minutes at 4. You have the same problem as me, in that you want to do it, but you can't get the daytime nap in you need. Civilization huh! | |

It's very tight. If you really want to try, maybe if you could get in a quick nap in the day- anything, even 5 or 10 minutes- it might just about be possible. You would feel dead on your feet by the end though. If you want to try it, adapt when you're on a break, because the adaptation period is very hard. |

Now this is a wider schedule. Although a bit rigid I think. Transition is hard so it's better to allow a little of flexibility to our body. If you try to get a nap between ~6:30 and ~7:00 it will be easier. The beggining will be challenging so don't get down easily! Good luck and keep us updated. |

So im on summer holidays and want to start my triphasic so i will be ready when school starts up again. I have looked at the uberman but i had to be realistic because it just wont fit around high school (i did do it successfully with a nap at about 10:30am in the music room at school for about 2 months) school starts at 8:30am and finishes at 3:00pm on fridays i serve at my church from 5:45pm to 10:30pm. i have left time for getting ready and actual driving time and my proposed schedule is... 6:00am - 7:30am 3:50pm - 4:20pm 12:20am - 1:50am i would love to hear any thoughts or modifications to make this smoother, hopefully the transition will be easer then the uberman... which was hell until i got used to it. |

A biphasic schedule would suit you a lot better. Why not try this: 02:30-07:00 (4.5hrs) Sleep 07:00-16:30 (9hrs30mins) Awake 16:30-18:00 (1hr30mins) Sleep 18:00-02:30 (8hrs30mins) Awake So then you're sleeping for 6 hours. |

| i found the uberman on stumble upon about a year ago url=http://www.stumbleupon.com/su/1d7kLC/dustincurtis.com/sleep.htmlSleep , i researched it heavily and decided to give it ago. in my research i suppose i became very familiar with the mechanics of polyphasic sleep and have found that hopefully the triphasic pattern with suit me best.
