| Hi all, Just a quick note to see if anyone else here is going to be going polyphasic over the next few weeks? I did about 3 1/2 months of uberman schedule concurrent with Steve last year, this time round I'm trying Dymaxion (6 hours between naps, 30 minute naps). Several other people on the google polyphasic group and the lucid dreaming boards seem to be doing it right now too. I'm blogging my transition to Dymaxion at www.Paul-Bradley.com Paul |

| Bucky Fuller did it for about 2 years apparently. We will see if it's a doable adaptation - right now I'm basically on track, on day 3 and it's no worse so far than my last uberman adaptation was, so I'm optimistic at this stage, but it's early days yet. Gonzo |

| Hey there, I've just started the Polyphasic sleep Uberman schedule a week ago. The blog I'm keeping is in Dutch though. So for those interested: Da Vinci slaap |

| I'm doing an easier version of polyphasic sleeping-3 hour core and then 3 or 4 twenty minute naps at random times. This is what I would call the most convenient schedule, yet probably one of the harder ones to adapt to because the mini-nap times are not set. Basically, this allows me ultimate convenience because I can just fit in a twenty minute nap wherever I need without having the absolute need to do it once every 4 hours, and still get 3 hours of solid core sleep every night. Benefits (I'm hoping): -Solve the problem of taking 20-30 minutes to fall asleep -Ultimate flexibility during college to fit a variety of schedules and appointments. -4 hours more time per day -A consistent sleep pattern that can be maintained all the time that my body can really get used to. Before, especially with biphasic patterns, my sleep pattern would get disrupted at least twice a week. Downsides: -May take longer to get used to. -Still have the inconvenience of needing a minimum of 3 naps throughout the day. -Possible loss of energy -Other downsides of polyphasic sleeping that haven't been discovered?? I'll keep you guys posted and good luck to you Dr. Gonzo, I'll be checking your blog. Erock

| Hey guys, We produce newsmagazine stories for German Tv and are doing a story about sleep spas and people with polyphasic sleep cycle experiences. Please contact us if you live in NY or are visiting NY within the next 10 days. thanks a lot |

| @German TV: I would recommend you to ask on the polyphasic sleep google group. When you know when the your story will air it would be nice when you let us know. (I'm a german myself but have no succesful polyphasic sleep experience)

| Too bad i've never been able to get used to these "more-than-monophasic" sleeping schedules because there is so much noise around, either people on my house speaking or my neighbours f**king dog making noise all day long, i will kill it someday, i mean it. So i just do the monophasic schedule like steve does, i have no time to go to sleep but i do have a fixed time to wake up, which is at 8 am, its when the noises all around start, so if i dont wake up with my alarm clock, the noises make sure i dont oversleep. Gotta use these noises for something useful |

My husband's sleeping schedule changes from day to day depending on what he has planned. There are other polynappers that have been at it for a while, too. (PureDoxyK hit the one-year mark a few weeks ago, and there are others on Google Groups.) |

| NY city or NY state? I'm upstate, which is about 5 hours away from the city...

| Well, I've tried and failed twice to switch to a polyphasic schedule. The first time I made it about 14 days but I overslept so much that it must've slowed down my adaptation, and I also had to be up for 10 hours straight 3 days a row after that and I slowly went back to normal. The second time it lasted about 5 days, but I overslept every day, and eventually I just started sleeping 6 hours a night with no combination of alarm clocks able to wake me for any reason. (I had succesfully adapted to ignore alarm clocks, but had failed at adapting to less sleep) I was thinking about trying it again and actually sticking it through (with new alarm clocks, including a vibrating one I just ordered), but I know I'm going to have to do a few 14-16 hour straight days in about a week from now, so I'm deciding whether I should wait until after that, or what. I know, my track record is pretty pathetic! But I'm determined to at least once fully adapt. Let us know how dymaxion works for you, I was thinking about trying Dymaxion myself because if it works it would work much better with my schedule. I'm also thinking of maybe trying hexaphasic. | hey man, i'm around 42 hours into my polyphasic experience, you can find it all at my blog Mitch Blogs?!?. It's been so far so good although I'm having trouble falling asleep during my naps so is anyone has some advice for that it'd be much appreciated. My main source of income is online poker so polyphasic sleep will fit in pretty well to my schedule |
