Edit: My accountability thread I have been struggling with sticking to fat loss and fitness goals. I am a great planner but have a hard time following through, mainly with temptations, for more then two-three months. I am looking for an accountability partner with similar needs. Accountability is a two way street and I want to give back, the same if not more, to my partner. A list detailing what I am looking for seems weird but, I want to make sure all the bases are covered, so please bare with me. *Emailing weekly to check in on progress: food logs, workout logs etc. *Support with problems revolving around such areas *A motivator, willing to help you help yourself. In return I offer the same. A little about me: 21 year old female living in Sweden. Sign: Libra Occupation: fiction writer - hopefully soon to be author. Non smoker, Non drinker As of now moderately active. In need of losing 15 pounds of fat and gaining instead muscle. If you are interested please email me at Stephanie_nason@hotmail.com Ps. I am very friendly, please don't mind the direct post, I just didn't want to waste anyones time by beating around the bush. Last edited by Steph4n1e; 03-13-2011 at 11:37 AM. Reason: Decided to use forum as an accountability log instead of looking for someone |

That is an great idea, but i don`t plan do it so throughly like you want to do that, maybe i need that later but not now. I just want to encourage you, to keep going that way, an accountability Partner is really a good idea and i wish you best luck with lossing this pounds, and your author career (btw you are an author or aren`t, i guess you are). Maybe this is an idea for you too? Losing 4kg (8.8lb) in 1 month: Tim Ferriss's way He made himself a blog, with his goals, how much he wieghts now, even put pictures from him in underwear (that`s alot of courage). Just an idea and a sweden girl, who is also creativly, that must be lovly |

How about this, why not make this blog post on this forum actually keep you accountable? Simply set a goal each week and keep posting your progress on here. You'd be amazed how much it fires you up once people start following your journal.

@Danthony: Sounds like a great idea. I had thought about it but didn't want to bore people with my progress, however, looking through others accountability threads and blogs it inspired me. Here's hoping I can do the same. I will update each Sunday about my weeks progress and see where that leads me. |

I have found an accountability partner As for my progress, I sure hope it gets better. I managed to complete my 3 days a week weightlifting and 3 days a week walking however, Thursday I went out so my meal times got shifted around, and out of balance. Started a water fast on Friday which I kept up for 24 hours. However, Saturday and today I am sick One thing I desperately need to work on is, eating junk food, mainly ice-cream, while I am sick. I have always eaten poorly when sick. Any suggestions on something healthy that soothes sore throats? Maybe a smoothie or something similar. I have decided, after much research, to try the 4Hour Body by tim ferreris. Today I will be making goals around the principles. Here's to better progress in the coming week. |

Well there are always things in your way, which you can`t influence so much, don`t worry being sick. For you soar throat, maybe you can make a soup? Trink some tea? Curd with fruit maybe (if you try tim ferris stuff, no fruit then). Don`t try to much at once, take the training, see that you get your regenration after lifting training, and stick to one diet, but i would suggest you start with no fast food, coke or similiar etc. and start from there. Maybe if you feel bold, last carb at launch. But a water fast? I imiagine that pretty tough. But good luck with the tim ferris way. |

I need an accountability partner too. To help me with my productivity and getting my work done ! I need someone to ask me everyday or weekly if I did what I'm supposed to do. I've been procrastinating for about a year and it's making me crazy. I'm about to start a project that could take me a few months so I could use an accountability partner. Obviously I'd do the same in return and help you in any way possible. Few things about myself: -21 year old male. -Full time student about to finish my bachelors degree. -Love music, songwriting and production and about to record my first album/mixtape/promo tape. -Currently checking out many universities and deciding on the posibility to work on my mba. -I speak english and spanish. If you're interested you can email me: pedrillop@gmail.com Sorry if I hijacked your thread it isn't my intention. Last edited by fzit0; 03-28-2011 at 02:02 AM. |

It's that time again Last weeks weight: 65kg Today's weight: 63.9kg WOO HOO!! I can't remember the last time I was below 64kg, I always told myself that as long as I don't go above 70kg I was fine. But it's not fine. No more will excuses hold me back. I love having my cheat day I got in my work outs, Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday (this week only) weight training, walking Monday and today, and Bowling and boxing on Wednesday. This week I have decided to change my entire schedule around to include more exercise, less excuses and biphasic sleep. Fingers crossed. |

I had a very busy last week adding and eliminating habits and have made progress. I have decided to change my cheat day from Wednesday to Sunday so this week I will have to put in more effort to make up for eating two cheat days last week. It is doable. Last weeks weight: 63.9 Sundays Weight: 63.4 Most of my progress has come in the form of more energy and the ability to up the weight of my weights when weight training. I missed my Sunday workout and will be doing it today (Monday) and then on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday as usual. Last week I went swimming 4 times and walked at least 1 hour a day, usually more as well as went bowling and ran. My eating has been all over the place, I usually have 4 meals, 10am, 2pm, 6pm, 10pm, this week. One important goal I have this week is to stick to my times and keep my cheat meal on Sunday. |

You're absolutely right, you get the most when you rest your body when your muscles start rebuilding after breaking them down. See if you can warm soak in a tub on off days. I have a jacuzzi (sp?) that i try to get into at least once a month.

Last week was a mess, I screwed up on my eating and gained weight went from 62.2 to 62.7 because I pigged out on food, the one day I had no choice, I was out with family and I succumbed to the pressure... ok I had a choice. Still it isn't easy hanging out with temptation. Speaking of that, I use to bite my nails and under the stress, as well as hanging out with nail biters I succumbed and all my nails are... well, gone.... I know BAD habit.... sort of like an alcoholic hanging out at a bar.... stupid. This week I changed my cheat day to Monday, yesterday, in the hopes that I will have time the rest of the week to concentrate on losing the weight. My goal this week is to get down to 61.5 I should have been there last week but that is behind me now, nothing I can do but move forward. How do you deal with pressure? How do you stay strong in the face of hardship? I did however run for the first time in two years, I mean really ran for the sake of running, not chasing a ball (Soccer) etc. It felt good, although, I did have to push myself extremly hard. This weeks targets: Running (2 times) Walking (3 times - 30 mins minimum each walk) Swimming (2 times) Weight training (3 times) Eating healthy (Tuesday-Sunday) |

I got used to it mostly, so i don`t have that pressure to much, and i can decide, today is a exception (like easter fest, i ate the choclate bunny). Increasing 500gram is about 3500 kcal. So what did you eat and drink to gain so much in one day? Maybe there are other mistakes which hurt it? |

| Ah so the Elephant and the Giraffe hat the Zoo are still safe and alive. Did you sin because of the holidays? If so, that`s ok, but you really need to get on track now then. And don`t give up. If it helps, make a day to day protocol here.

I just visited Stockholm last year, beautiful place. Are you still looking for a partner? I literally started eating really healthy this past Sunday. I completely changed my diet and I'm feeling great, did better at the gym today that I have in almost a year.

It was more of a family thing, so maybe it was the holiday. Watching people stuff there faces with junk might have been a factor. However, what really did it for me was the mind set of "I already messed up this week so why bother" That was my biggest mistake and regret from last week. Same with my nail biting, I go good for months and then slip up on one fingernail and then the why bother attitude kicks in and I end up chewing off the rest. Seems to be a reoccurring pattern with everything. My writing, Running, Working out, Art, you name it and I have that attitude, I just don't know how to deal with it. I know I need to get back to my routine strong but instead I just stay in bed or watch T.v. It is like this hopeless spiral, I know what I need and want to do but am not doing it. |

I consistently go to the gym a minimum of three times a week, and I've been doing this for a while, at first I had to force myself, now it's more of a habit. Associating positive thoughts to it will be good too, I really look forward to a lot of things that I do, even if they're difficult. You just force yourself at the beginning, for 30 days (or however many days you believe it takes to form a permanent habit) and you will get it. Try focusing on one habit at a time per 30 days though. If you're trying to do 5 different things every day, you will burn out. Cutting time wasting behaviors will help too. I literally don't watch tv or play any video games or computer games. I haven't in at least 3 weeks. I haven't watched tv (aside from a movie with a girl), in probably a year or more. I never just sit down to watch tv, it's very unappealing to me. | |

Thank you all for the feedback. Last week again was pretty difficult but I have decided to recommit to my goals for May. I wrote them out once again, visualized the results, meditated and now am working on affirmations (in the positive). Last weeks weight was 62.7, yesterdays weight was 61.7. My goal for this week is to reach 60.5-60.7 I will be having my ONE cheat day today, and that is IT. No more. |
