Simple question. Anyone here meditate either just before or after exercising? Is it good practice? Thanks.

It's easiest to relax after exercise, as your physical energy is more grounded. For many people, exercise itself is meditative. In martial arts my dad has me meditate before and after practice. Feel free to try both (meditation before and after exercise) to see what works best for you. Doing it whenever you can is better than not doing it at all.

I completely agree with the above comment. Meditation before might help you to be more present during the exercise session. I am a big fan of meditative exercise. Imagine 30 minutes on a treadmill watching CNN as opposed to being present to your breath and the movement of your body. I would try both along with a meditative workout. Thanks for asking! Richard
