Anybody got any weight loss tips? Mine is very simple... drink plenty of water. That's what I do and I always feel healthier, happier, and lighter. Of course, you can't shed weight by drinking water alone, but it sure helps.

This webpage has a bunch of them. Also you do not want to drink water with all the pollutants in it. But then you purify it and it has no polltuants but people complain that it has no minerals. So you make green tea with it. The above has a whole page about green tea and the studies done on it like the EGCG helping you to burn fat. It has lots of studies but there are no studies done on water. Also tea is mostly water but has 4,000 chemical compounds with studies showing that it reduces dimetia and Alzheimers disease. That is just one of the tips. Then you have eating whole grains instead of refined grain and the more you sleep the better your body is at losing excess weight and more. Do not drink more liquids than you need since you will overwork the kidneys. Drink when thirsty just like all the animals did and people did for 3 million years. |

Try fruit for breakfast. Easy and comfortable ritual anyone can do. You'll lose about 10-20 kilos by going vegan, which is arguably the easiest way to sustainably lose weight. Then if you can go raw foodist, you'll find your perfect weight and never vary from it. That can be a little harder, but having a few fruit meals from time to time isn't so hard. The more calories you can get from fruit as opposed to other foods, the better. |

Twenty minute kettlebell workouts 3-4 times a week. I've found Kettlebell workouts are excellent for weight loss and you don't need to put in much time at all. I also find I have more energy than I know what to do with since starting! They also have lot of other benefits (other benefits not mentioned there include better posture and getting rid of back pain).

Cut out foods that don't have nutrient content. Eat only nutrient dense foods. Don't eat grains or legumes or soy, and if you can, cut out dairy. I haven't quite managed that, but I've eaten much less. You should be eating one cup of vegetables with every meal, with a serving of meat, eggs or fish (assuming you are not going vegan). Eat naturally fatty foods such as coconut and avocado. Also, olive and coconut oil. Between meals, even. Nuts are good, but not peanuts. A square of extra-dark chocolate helps the routine of eating "treats". Snack on nuts and beef jerky. Drink lots of water, cut back your caffeine. YOu can eat some fruit, but don't go overboard. And wait a few weeks for the carb cravings to subside first, don't eat a lot of fruit if it triggers cravings. Your cravings will GO AWAY, and you'll be fine with eating like this within a few days. It works. |

A simple way to approach weight loss is to think of ADDING lots of good stuff to your diet before eating junk. I'm talking about adding good stuff that tastes great, like fresh cherries, crisp apples, grape tomatoes, fresh basil, etc, etc. Don't think about what you can't eat, just focus on adding lots of awesome healthy stuff. It's amazing what a change of perspective can do! And you can't be afraid to spend money on healthy food. Yes, eating well costs more. It's a shame, but it's a fact. Budget for it. |

The best advice I ever got concerning food is that it doesn't really matter what dressing etc you put in your salad as long as it's full of good veggies, lettuce and some protein. I've seriously upped my veggie quota by munching on delicious salads (one favourite is chickpeas, dark leafed saladmix, sundried tomatoes and whatever veggies I have in the fridge with balsamic vinegar and garlic dressing). I still eat things I like, but in moderation, I don't believe in depriving yourself of any one specific food. And once a week I allow myself a day where I eat whatever I like (although since I've started to eat healthier foods, I don't get as many cravings as I used to). And exercise-wise, I swear Jillian Michaels' workouts WORK. I haven't lost that many pounds but the inches are coming off and my whole body is both looking and feeling a lot more fit from just 25 minute workouts (I try to do the workout at least 4 times a week). The best thing: none of these things feel like a chore, I still enjoy food, I'm not spending all my free time at the gym and I'm seeing a difference and feeling really good. Another great thing: I can definitely see myself living and eating like this for the rest of my life, so I don't worry about falling off the wagon, if I eat more one week, I can just go back to my normal routine the next. |

The absolutely most effective way of loosing weight I have ever come across is to replace all the junk carbohydrates in your diet with carbs from vegetables. In practice this means throwing out the junk foods and replacing them with whole natural foods. I use one super simple thumb of rule: Could I find this food in nature? That way I eliminate ding dongs and soda and other terrible foods and eat whole foods instead. The second tip I've had great success with is to walk every day. Walk as much as you can I say, I try to get two hours of walking in every day. No running or jogging, just regular walking. It has helped me lose a lot of weight (about 70 pounds). Good luck! |

When I was fatter,-I am getting smaller!- I had two preferences that seem important: I liked things Big and I liked them Slow; actually, I liked them stationary. I felt better being bigger, like I had some "weight" to me. I didn't like moving around. I wanted the big sandwich and the sixty four ounce drink. I actually laughed at the "big mac" as being rather dinky. I spoke slowly and deliberately, I sat a lot, I didn't talk with my hands. Now, the thinner me that I am moving to? Small drinks (not nearly as sweet, unsweet tea and water, for example.) Two or three chips might be a plentiful snack; there's always more in the bag. I visualize myself having plenty of room to move. "Gravitas" is replaced with grace, and I get my staying power from relentlessness rather than simple lethargy, my freedom comes from my energy rather than inertia. (OK, I know. Some of this is still in the intention stage of IM, but that's my point: I actually was DRAWN to some things that went with being fat.) My point is, imagine what it would be like to be the way you wish, and opt for anything like it. If you want to be smaller, try to act light on your feet. Choose smaller things, or at least look for smaller things that you appreciate. Don't just focus only on options that directly lead to losing weight, but anything that relates to the essence you seek. What does it mean to you? Will weight loss make you sleeker? Maybe you could choose a Corvette instead of Hummer, for example. Or maybe the other way around, the Hummer makes you feel small? Will it make you more attractive, more fashionable? Can you stand to update your wardrobe? These sound like shallow examples and they are, because I can't delve into your mind. But free associate and go for anything that will give you the juice you want. At the worst, you will find yourself motivated by the samples you give yourself of success. And just possibly, the world will begin to bend over backward by showing you more and more ways to get your goal. |

My formula is simple, and has always worked for me: - Multiply desired body weight by 10 - Eat that many calories per day - Exercise 30 minutes every other day Done ... This has helped me keep my current body weight - plus/minus 5 pounds - for 20 years. |
