Few questions I have about food. If anyone with more knowledge than me can answer them I'd be grateful.
Sorry pretty random list but any help would be appreciated. |

Natural fruit juice in the morning is just fine. Do both. Nothing wrong with decaf green tea, as long as it's quality tea. Also nothing wrong with the caffeine from green tea. Hardly any in it. olive oil is fine. Whether or not we need sodium and how much is still debated.

I drink almond, hazelnut, goat, or coconut milk. I don't like rice or soy milk. If you are not trying to go vegan, you could make the switch to goat milk. It's better for you than cow milk. Fruit juice can have a lot of nutrients and vitamins, but it doesn't have the fiber, which the whole fruit contains. I drink it because I love it though. Fresh tangerine juice, yesssss. Don't eat margarine, it isn't good for you, but above all else, it just absolutely tastes repulsive. It depends what you are making, though - olive oil usually isn't great for baking sweets (extra virgin olive oil has a really strong taste). I only use real butter when I bake pastries and sweets, and I am appalled by people who bake using anything but real butter. Some swear by earth balance, which is a decent alternative, but I still don't touch butter substitutes, I like the real thing too much. There are lots of nice oils with different purposes and benefits, though. And, seriously, why would you consider not adding salt to anything? Salt is delicious! Also, I don't really think you can compare diet sodas to decaffeinated drinks! |

5. Food has enough sodium in it. Salt is not a food. 4. Normal marg (there is a healthy one) is trans fat. Replace it with any olive oil that is cold pressed extra virgin olive oil. Whole Foods has this in Greek, Spanish, Italian and Australian olive oil. 3. Either is OK. See the link in my signature about tea and you will learn why it does not matter. 2. If it is raw juice then it is just as good but whole fruit is better than normal bottled juice unless it is an extra healthy exotic blend like mangosteen, acai etc. 1. Yes cow's milk is awful for your health unless you are a baby cow. Moo! Any of the others is good like almond milk or hemp milk. |

Actually I almost revealed my hand. I am going to be creating a wepage about this and an old theory about high blood pressure that is being acted upon now by American companies. You have heard of minerals having an RDA. Sodium does not have one. The FDA says to eat less sodium and more potassium. What about fat and cholesterol? There is no RDA for fat, cholesterol, sodium or carbohydrate.

2. I'd recommend coconut oil over olive oil; it's the healthiest fat of all.

Here's some more answers! I want to switch to rice milk (don't like the taste of soya milk). Is this better for my body than cows milk? The only thing I would add is that you should try your best to stay away from milk products that are excessively fortified (i.e. have a bunch of cheap, harmful, low-quality synthetic vitamins added.) Most importantly, stay away from vitamin D2. This is hard to do, though, since nearly all milk products are fortified. I would second those who say to stay away from soy. Rice, almond, hemp, coconut milks are all pretty great. Is decaff or regular green tea better. I prefer no caffeine but unsure about the processes they use to make it decaff For a quick way to remove most of the caffeine content from tea: Steep for 20-30 seconds. Remove. Pour out water. Pour a new cup of hot water, and steep again. This will be the cup that you drink. (Caffeine is highly water-soluble. Most will be removed in the first 20-30 seconds of steeping.) Also, I highly recommend Rooibos tea. It does not contain caffeine and is naturally sweet. It's also pretty darn healthy. Can I just replace marg with olive oil? I'm using Bertolli as it is just now. Yes, replacing margarine with Extra-Virgin (Cold-Pressed) olive oil would be good. If you really miss the flavor of margarine, Smart Balance makes an organic buttery spread that does not contain any harmful, plastic-like ingredients. Can I not add salt to anything and eat a veggie diet and still get enough sodium? Most people get way too much sodium, so you shouldn't worry too much about this. However, if you aren't adding salt, you should become concerned about iodine. Try including sea veggies (kelp, dulse, etc) in your diet. You need iodine! Most people get it from low-quality iodized table salt. I recommend using a high-quality coarse sea salt (in a salt grinder of course) to add to food. It is delicious! |

I'm a big fan of coconut products, including water, oil, milk, and flour, all made from the humble coconut. Good stuff. The majority of adult humans on the planet cannot digest dairy milk. Why would we? We're not cattle. And have you ever taken a look at how those cattle are raised? It's inhumane. Why would you want to drink the food another animal produces for its babies, especially if that animal has been standing around in its own ♥♥♥♥♥ all day long? No thanks. |

I know that decaf coffee is more acidic than caffeinated coffee. Something to do with how they get the caffeine out makes it more acidic. There's docs who suggest a more alkaline diet for longevity so you might prefer caffeinated green tea. More alkaline diet helps with inflammation. |

Oh, and just to add one more correction to your propaganda. Someone who drinks milk does not have to drink factory farmed milk from cows who stand around in their own **** all day long. I love my milk, and I know I sure as hell don't. K, thanks. Oh and why would an animals baby food not be considered food, yet so many other things are? How is it being made for the baby, some how disqualify it from being food?
