I won't bore you with the details but I had a fairly upsetting young childhood, at 16 I have decided that I want my confidance in myself back! So I have decided to hit the gym! However I wanted some links from people to bodybuilding siets that really helped you! I would appreciate it so much! |

Is that diets or sites? I don't have a site for you, rather a book titled "Body for Life" by Bill Phillips. I am no body builder by any means, and I have always got bored with it in the past. My attention improved with this book. I do a 3 month body building stint every 1 to 1.5 years following these guidelines, whereas I always found something "better" to do after a week or two in the past. What I like is that each weight lifting session has many breaks, and you change your weight amount and number of reps for every exercise-- so your always doing something different. For example, one exercise is biceps. You do 12 reps at a certain weight, then 10 reps with a little higher weight, and so on. Keeps my interest anyways. As far as diets, he has a diet to follow in this book. He kind of groups foods into carbs, proteins, veggies, junk - and recommends when to eat, what to eat, and how much to eat. |

I highly recommend Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle by Tom Venuto. You have to pay for it, but it's worth it, even if you don't need to lose weight (even if you need to gain it). You can get it from his website (it's a ebook.). He explains just about everything you need to know about nutrition and exercise in a clear and concise manner. I wouldn't recommend ONLY reading him, but I do recommend that you do.

I agree, "Burn The Fat" IS great, I've checked it out and I know Tom via emails and such. He is a great guy that is willing to help. I would also like to suggest my own exercise and fitness site for free info, you can see the link below. I've spent the last few years trying to cover all the questions my clients come up with, answering them and them placing them in the appropriate section for others to read. You should find it a useful resource also. As well, I will be putting around here off and on to answer questions if anyone needs some help getting off the ground. P.S. Check out youtube and metacafe for video's to learn your form on exercises and bodybuilding.com also has a ton of great articles. Hope that helps. |
