Well, let me tell you the whole story: after moving from downtown to a certain remote area (I am now working for some kind of military college), I asked a friend to name me some good place to go buy my food. He told me he usually goes to a "nice market", the one you see on this picture ... Useless to say, I was horrified ... and the picture doesn't show the smell, the dirt everywhere on the floor, the flock dieing in the cages, etc ...

| Look for two awesome programs on TV: Bizarre Foods Asia Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations - Asia Special: China and Japan Bourdain is friggin' hilarious. And would you believe that in Bizarre Foods, the one food the guy couldn't stand was a fruit? He ate everything from live frog heart to "chicken bits," and it was this fruit that instantly disgusted him!

I've already tried some frog (kind of good actually, but I didn't eat more because of the psychological thing), but I couldn't take the step to eat dog. Not yet

I have a friend who went to China with his high school. The kindly hotel owner there asked if the kids would like bacon for breakfast tomorrow, to which everyone agreed. That night my friend woke up to the sounds of squealing/dying pigs getting cut up for breakfast the next morning. He's been a vegetarian ever since

I had some special meal during a trip. It contained a lot of pig fat. My girlfriend (who is Chinese) warned me about it, but I made fun of her. The following day, I started throwing up at regular intervals. (I counted: as many as 7 times in one evening) Now I stay away from the pig fat
