Default I lost 100 pounds in one minute...

I wrote a new post on my blog today that I hope can inspire people seeking to lose weight that it is possible; it is not the testimony of my journey, with all the ups and downs, but the single moment in which I still remember embracing a desire to improve my health with all my heart.

Along my path I had found Steve Pavlina's blog and the community following it. It has been a great source of strength, positivity and resourcefulness and part of the reason I started blogging in the first place was because of how much this blog and community helped me. So in summary, thank you all, and thanks to Steve Pavlina whether he sees this or not, the intent is there .

*update* Some people asked for pictures so I posted them below but here it is for those just strolling by the thread:

Love this. Well-done. (I love your name, by the way.)
Likewise, I became self-confident the moment I committed to it. And every day, the moment I say to myself, "I am self-confident," is when I become self-confident.

Yeah I gained a lot of confidence, at least in terms of appearance after I went through the weight loss. I'm plateauing again so I'm gonna work harder, I came this far, I can finish this battle and keep my weight controlled for good.

On the self-confidence jag, all things things relate, its about that moment of honest intention for how you want to carry yourself.

Yeah, it's just about being ready to commit. There are things I am not ready to commit to yet, but I know that I will get there eventually, hopefully sooner rather than later. You have to pool your mental resources into something, things have to click in your mind. I've finally started running every day, a good ten minutes, and I've never done that before.

Anyway, I think that not only does losing weight and being healthy make it easier to have self-confidence, but it takes a certain confidence in order to do so: a confidence that you are going to make this happen. That's what a commitment is.

There is a saying that a picture is worth a thousand words. Take a look at this about weight loss. Pictures

It is as easy for someone to say that they lost 300 pounds just as easy as it to say that they lost 100 pounds in a minute or 2,000 pounds in a second.

I don't quite understand your point, I have plenty of embarrassing pictures if thats what you want :P. That's cool she lost the weight through running; when I got from 270 to 200, I had to implement running on TOP of my cardio and weight training to get down to 170, I started small but with the help of my best friend I was running 3 miles in under 30 minutes in about a year.

Here, I might add it to the blog post; it doesnt exactly feel great to look back on this, but its good to remember where I'm coming from so I never fall back I guess.
