Default Deli Meats Very Bad for Health

This study was mentioned on TV. The processed (not organic meats) meats sold in stores (like deli section) increases chance of heart problems by 42% according to Harvard. It points out that the processed meats have 4 times the sodium and more nitrates in them than the unprocessed meats.

Please note that the above does not have anything to do with the number of calories in foods. Salt, sodium and nitrates have no calories. Foods. untouched by man, have low amounts of sodium. Only salt added to a food has lots of sodium.

Eating Processed Meats, but Not Unprocessed Red Meats, May Raise Risk of Heart Disease and Diabetes - May 17, 2010 -2010 Releases - Press Releases - Harvard School of Public Health

It is still healthier than McDonalds so it can't be that bad.

Also I'd say that more people go to McDonalds than people that use the deli so although it may be harmful, this is a problem that should be focused on after solving the fast food the world faces today.

Sounds like horrible logic to me. They are both very compromising to a healthy state of living. Why are you trying to justify it?
