It's my first week of biphasic sleep and I'm beginning to doubt it. I sleep from 6-8 p.m., stay up till 1:00-1:30 and then fall asleep again and wake up at 6. I find that after waking up at 8, I feel really tired and could fall asleep again. In addition, when the time nears 12ish, I feel really drowsy and need to sleep. What does this mean?

Oh well... I am no expert, but I guess your body is trying to get used to the new pattern. I am just curious, but why did you change your sleep pattern? Usually human beings need 6 - 8 hours of sleep, and it is always better if they sleep somewhere between 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. That leaves you plenty of time to work.

Have you been reading other threads on the topic? They might have the info you're looking for. This one came up when I did a forum search: Switching to Biphasic Sleeping? Start here. |
