Default Pelvic/Lower Back Tension - Any Exercises to help relieve?

Does anybody know any physical exercises or perhaps yoga poses that can help release lower back/ pelvic tension? Any websites or anything like that?

The first two yoga poses I do when my lower back is acting up are child's pose and downward dog. Stay in those for a while, let the body settle a bit, then move around within the pose or try whichever poses feel good. Some of the spinal twists might help once you're feeling a little more bendy.

I find that if I don't do yoga at least 4 times a week, my body starts to clench up and I have trouble moving around or sleeping well!

Yoga is great for the back in stretching and strengthening. Of course walking is also great for the back. The worst thing for back is sitting. It is worth it to learn yoga. Dr Oz has his patients learn yoga.

If you want to learn some things that you can do everyday to help with this right now then go to this webpage. See the blog post for August 23, 2007. It has what I do every morning to help with this. This is something that everyone should do. Note that I grew up learning martial arts, yoga and gymnastics.
