Default Finger exercises?

I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience with finger exercises?

Lately I've noticed that when I try to shuffle cards or move my fingers in certain ways I feel intense pain.

I spend alot of time on the PC, not so much anymore as in the past, and I've always been active with my hands - working construction, going to the gym etc. But there is still pain here and there.

I have begun stretching my fingers in different ways but I'm particularly wondering what others have found most useful?

Hi tropicality,

There is a great book on stretching called "Active Isolated Stretching" by Mattes. One of the best approaches to stretching I have seen. It has a complete set of stretches for the hands and forearms, which leaves your hands feeling great afterwards (as long as you don't overdo it!). Also, I would recommend doing some hand and forearms strengthening (using grip tools, etc). If you need more info on this, I can make some recommendations. Good luck!

Practising Card Magic has improved the agility of my fingers a lot.
