Default 5 Heart Healthy Foods by Webmd

Webmd gets a million visitors a day. These 5 foods are foods that stand for a group of foods. It says the best one is blueberries. This stands for all the berries. My link below goes into detail about why berries are so good for heart and cardiovascular system.

None of these foods are meats including red meat or poultry (white meat). I found this on Twitter.

Heart-Healthy Diet: 5 Foods for Your Heart
Both the FDA and the American Heart Association encourage eating at least 1 oz (28 grams) of soy protein daily. You can get your soy from soybeans, soy nuts, soy milk, soy flour, energy bars, fortified cereal, tempeh, and tofu.

Who actually listens to FDA or AHA anymore? Tell me, would you have posed, if meat WAS on the list?

I totally agree... the FDA? AHA? Two of the most unreliable and biased sources for nutritional information to be found anywhere.

I see they're still promoting the saturated fat/high-cholesterol theory of heart disease. Saturated fat consumption in the US has been in significant decline for at least 60 years; at the same time, the rate of heart disease has gone from almost nothing to number one on the charts. This theory sells a lot of statin drugs tho.
