Default Connection-- Eating Meat and Crime

Someone else asked about a connection between diet and abortion. Well would you be surprised to find that one of the most stolen products is fruits and vegetables? I am just kidding. Actually I shop at health food stores and the store people give very little attention to checking bags that you walk in with that have other food in.

Like I will shop in one health food store and walk to the other and they never ask about checking my bag of food when I leave and enter. Of course people can say that the people going into health food stores are more educated and richer and so have a less chance of stealing, so it is not connected with what they eat.

But I am posting this since I just saw an article on the items that are shoplifted the most. So I could ask does eating meat make people more prone to crime. Yoda says “Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.” Now they say that when the animal is being slaughtered it releases all the fear hormones. Then the person consumes the animals with all those hormones.

So the most shoplifted item is meat. Now you have to admit that it makes someone wonder. Like if the most shoplifted item were Korans then you would have to wonder about Muslims. Note that Korans were not in the list at all. The stories on how the people try to steal the meat are entertaining.

Please note that at one of the health food stores there are shopping carts that have a lower level. It is not uncommon for someone to put something down there and leave it there and check out. Then when they are unloading the cart they find it and bring it back to pay for it. The vegan ice cream is more expensive than regular ice cream.

America's Most Stolen Products

Surely there are a few more obvious reasons why people are more likely to steal meat?

LOL I love how "Steal this Book" is #2 on the list. I've contemplated lifting that one.

Absolutely. I would bet when most people win a 3-minute supermarket shopping spree, they head directly for the meat.

you get the most calories per weight of food with meat. Highest return for least effort.

LMAO. The summer sausage would be much more reasonable. You could appear massively endowed AND eat off that thing for a week.

The effort and stress of stealing lettuce would burn more calories than the lettuce itself.

This is like saying that paper money causes crime and coins do not because people rarely steal coins.

"I've got a gun!" "Give me all your change!"
